Well it doesn't help them when half their bowling attack is banned.

Hehe, I just imagined 'banned' in a forum sense. "Hey Afridi, can I use your account?"

hussey :P

jaffer
bhajji (captain) aus and saf give him too much credit :p
gibbs
YK (only scores against india)
jayawardane
raina
tanvir (not 20/20)
prolly ishant sharma i guess- not his fault though. Some indian fans are just too fickle.

how is Mahela Jayawardena overrated seriously, that guy is the best captain in international cricket and one of the best batsman yet his name doesn't get mentioned at all.

Tanvir? he just started his career let the guy play a year more and we will see if he is overrated.

Look at his stats against all nations (notably Australia - McGrath, Warne) and rethink your statement.

Broad isn't World Class and he's much better in ODIs than in Tests but he's only 21 and he's shown glimpses of World Class potential.

Will_NA added 1 Minutes and 37 Seconds later...

How can Mitchell Jonhson be overrated when no-one rates hin at all?

Take Australia out, and then judge. Basically, Kevin has been average against the rest of teams apart from Australia. Otherwise, same can be said about Sehwag who consistently scores double century against Australia in Test.
Kevin is just average batman now. Perhaps, that was his day when he massively scored against Australia. But he is no longer looking much better. He struggled big times against Asif.

Here we go again...

Lee is one of the best fast bowlers in the world, his results since McGrath and Warne retired have proved that.

Lee is getting wickets cos noone else does. He is bowling the same like he did before two greats retired.

Also Indian cricketers might be overrated by Indian fans but thats because Cricket in India is similar to Football in England. The fans are massive supporters even though the teams are not good and are mostly in news for not winnning rather than opposite.

Infact as I said all Indian rookies are overrated.

Is this thread serious or guys just having fun?? You cannot seriously mean Muttiah Muralitharan.

No he is just not the demon bowler whom batsman should be afraid off. Everyone has worked him out now and his last few outings have been , well.

Dinesh Karthik or Murali Kartik?

Murli Kartick.

Kevin? Kevin Pietersen? One of the most consistent players in the world, even if he is a lot better at home. Sure, he's human and sometimes fails or runs out of form, but he doesn't have any glaring weakness. If 548 runs at an average of 42 is him struggling big time, I'll take him in my team every day of the week.

The options were Dinesh Karthik and Murali Kartik. You didn't choose either.

;).

KKD has many fans here. Well tbh the guy has been messed up badly by management and now his keeping is also getting down.

I meant that Rohit told you to choose between Dinesh Karthik and Murali Kartik and you said Murli Kartick.

Back on topic: I'm 100% sure Yusuf Pathan is overrated. He'll prove me right without a show of a doubt. Just wait and watch.

That's all very well and good (well, it's a simplistic assessment at best), but it doesn't explain why his economy has improved. Before 2007, his best cricket had been played with McGrath and Warne in the side, while his worst had generally come when either or both were absent. In 7 Tests with neither Warne nor McGrath before Boxing Day 2006, Lee had only 26 wickets at 44.7. Since their retirements, he has collected 58 wickets in 9 matches at 21.6. It is incomparable.

Kevin Pieterson. No doubt he is overrated. He is not what i thought of him and he should have maintained consistent by now. He struggles against good bowling attack more often.

he has the 2nd highest odi average. clearly overrated

Could not agree more, as I said before, everyone is just being wow'd by his sixers. Oh, and everyone saying Raina is over rated, I wish you guys saw him in the Challenger Trophy last year before making a judgment, he was absolutely brilliant.

 Oh yeah, all those years being bamboozled by him, and recently they've started to find him out.. He is class, and class is permanent, 720 odd wickets do not lie.
