New Zealand in Bangladesh, October 2010/11

What about Friday Night and Sunday morning games. Either way they need to put them on the weekends. Games during the week always struggle with crowds, I guess it makes for good TV though.

I never understood why limited overs cricket is played on Monday and weekdays as opposed to Sat and Sunday back to back games when people are actually off work.

I don't mind having Day/Night games on the weekdays. Staring around 3-5 PM, go till 9-11 pm. Professional cricketers shouldn't complain about it. There is no such thing as "school night" for them. They could stay up late.

MLB goes 6 days a week. And they get good crowd. Only during summer games starts earlier.

Yea, NZ v Bangladesh is hardly interesting but the Commonwealth Games are just such a bore. I lose the will to live after watching 5 minutes of that dribble. That's just me anyway....

I agree with you there. In the shot put Valerie Adams was throwing 20-21 metres then the Indian chicks were throwing about 10 metres. Some people in the games are a complete waste of space.

I think the Indians have to enter every event.
They were bloody useless at cycling, in the road race they were getting dropped in the first few km's.

Gahh, it was a good nut to get rid of McCullum but it was just all too predictable tbh. The amount of times McCullum get's out for scores between 40-80 is frustrating enough but that he follows it up with two or three failures is even more so of a concern. I know I harp on about it but with Jesse Ryder back McCullum has to go back down the order with Watling or Guptill moving up from three to bat where they're pretty accustomed too.

It'll make this New Zealand team far more consistant imo.

Hehe. The sad thing is even if they get rid of Alex Smith that team isn't going to magically get better overnight. No worries though, the 49ers will have an early pick in next years draft and should land one of the top QB's.

I wonder why they're making Watling keep... He doesn't keep in domestic cricket so it'll be interesting to see how he goes. I know he can keep but its just that he wouldn't really have had much practice at it recently I would think.

Yea I saw that, it was quite funny how much further she was able to put the ball compared to everyone else.

I think they get easier qualification maybe? Because they're the host nation. Or I suppose previously they couldn't have afforded to send so many people overseas but now that it's in their own country, it wouldn't cost too much.

Yeah I dunno its a tough one with McCullum he's been opening for so long now but he did do a real good job down the order, finishing the innings. His ego is too big to let it happen though.
