New Zealand in Bangladesh, October 2010/11

I get it, your are upset, because NZ lost, that doesn't mean you have to make Ban look bad, by saying Zim A is better than Ban national. That's just stupid. That also means, you guys just lost to a team that is not even at A lvl.

:facepalm again, if you read this

what i'm saying is that a full strenght Zimbabwe squad is slightly better than what bangladesh have now, hope that clears it up.

i never said Zimbabwe A anywhere, and they also won against India "A" twice, and once against Sri Lanka. Btw I couldn't care less that we lost, i'm more interested in the Commonwealth Games. Although we should bounce back in tomorrows ODI.

TBH not really anyone cares about the series here.
It's pretty much all CWG's and Rugby, plus a bit of Rugby League and Football.

Bangldesh are making it their habit beating one game in every series.First England and now New Zealand wow and still more games coming up eith New Zealand as well so expect some thrill

May be you should read what you wrote 1st.

I dont mind it tbh, he is still getting in some good cricket against a side who IMO is slightly better than Bangladesh. This series against Bangladesh is just where we are trying out new guys like Bennett and Williamson.

Martin Guptill will probably be in the WC Squad though, unless he really underperforms in the matches against India/Pakistan.

And who is he playing? Zim A. So what does that add up to? :sarcasm

But Still Bangladesh beat New Zealand. Most of the Teams try out all their young players against weaker teams and even then they don't loose so if you loose you should admit that :)

What if Bangladesh, dare I say it, win this series.

Actually I take that back, they've already beaten the West Indies in ODIs and I think tests too.

to then

NZ A are playing Zimbabwe A, not their first XI.

and then

yeah but that Zimbabwe XI most likely will be the full strength squad.

it'll be 'A' team just by name because technically Zimbabwe Proper cant play a A side.

Yet another fluke for Bangladesh, the only way they can win matches is when rain comes down or a batsman or bowler in the opposition side gets injured.

That's a bit harsh. Bangladesh played well. I'm not too fussed about our loss though because as you mentioned, the rain did help Bangladesh. We got pretty shafted by the D/L. The commentators also felt it was a pretty crucial toss - especially since we had no warm-up games it was harsh to have so much go against us. I don't think we played a very strong XI either.

I'd play

B McCullum
Watling (Is an opener - not a 3)
Ryder (used to pay 3 anyway)
Taylor
Williamson (his spin would be hugely beneficial)
Stewart (deserves to bat at 6, not 7 though I can understand why Vettori promoted himself)
Vettori
N McCullum
Tuffey (Dunno why he didn't play - injury? He's far better than Southee and McKay so must be - good bat too)
Mills
Southee

That's much better balanced.

I don't want to see us lose again. This happened last time and we recovered. I wanna see that again.

Hopefully they'll do this but chances are quite less because NZL have some regular players as well

Weird. Guptill's not in the NZ A side playing Zimbabwe A. And there is only one player in the Zimbabwe side with any real international experience. Despite that we're 39/2 lol

Tuffey (Dunno why he didn't play - injury? He's far better than Southee and McKay

Since coming back to international cricket in August of last year Tuffey's played in 12 games collecting 15 wickets @ 35 with an RPO of 5.61. Tim Southee's played 13 games during that time and has picked up 18 wickets @ 32 with an RPO of 5.29. McKay even though it's only a small sample size has picked up 9 wickets @ 24 with an RPO of 4.22.

Southee's RPO is lower even though he's done a lot more death bowling during that period too.

In that tour the normal full West Indies squad wasn't playing, because of a dispute with their board. You could say it was West Indies A against Bangladesh.

They're not at 140-2 after 30.5 overs. How is playing in that match and he really needs to get back for New Zealand.

oh so zimbabwe are actually playing a A side, doesn't really matter they still seem to provide a challenge, really only finn & how made contributions to get us to 386.

In Dhaka the past two days it has been raining continously, so I am expecting that this match will be abandoned.
