FYI, Indians bowling is pretty strong currently with the likes of Umesh Yadav, Varun Aaron, and Sharjah is know as a spinners wicket, it is better to play four spinners

Please tell me you are not serious. Yadav....Aaron...aren't both or at least one of them injured?? Indian pace bowlers are hype jobs, I thought most cricket fans would have learnt that by now. And, as evidenced by the Aussies performance and the lack of wicket taking quality in Pakistan, another pace bowler was needed.

Having said that, I think Pakistan were far more competitive in this serious that I thought. Ajmal's performance must have embarrassed those fools at the ICC. Not to mention a dropped catch by Azhar Ali when Maxwell was just on 30 odd.

Yeah no problem with Ajmal now that we got home What a change of pace Maxwell has been, for someone to come in and score runs, let alone in pressure situations. Opening with Dave proved to be a masterstroke too, don't know if Wade scratching around at the top of the order would've given us the result.

Maxwell has been just the guy we need at 7, will have to see the highlights but sounds like he was a bit streaky but that is what I was expecting from him. Starc really has taken this chance and run with it, hopefully he can do the same in Test cricket if needed.

Well its not as if Maxwell, Marsh and Christian look like joke bits and pieces all-rounders like Ronnie Irani, Mark Alleyne, Mark Ealham, Dougie Brown, Dermott Reeve etc etc that England tended to pick with frustrating regularity for like 20+ years, in limited overs cricket.

Not quite as bad as those I'll agree...but I'm still yet to be convinced that they these are quality players that DEMAND selection over specialists. To my eyes, Hussey and Clarke are just as good with the ball as Maxwell, and Christian isn't good enough a paceman to play at #8 in my opinion. I think the team is weakened by having those guys in it. They may develop into better players, particularly Maxwell - but he strikes me as a Steve Smith/Cameron White/even Andrew Symonds type-guy ie. initially selected because he could bowl, but ultimately he's just not very good at it. I'm being tough talking down on Maxwell after he just won a game, but I just see another bits and pieces guy who can be useful with bat.
