I know, but Lewis isn't that much younger than Chapple, and if Lewis merits a go, then so does Chapple.

Hence I'd argue that neither do and give the place to Tremlett or Broad (or Dalrymple).

The ODI series is ours :). Duffo

That goes without saying. I expect us to beaten 4-1 in the ODI's. I'm not that bothered about ODI's though, never have been and probably never will be.

Even if you did, it dint really matter, because in the end, England are pretty poor in ODI cricket. Which is why I am looking forward more to the Ashes than the World Cup.

Same here. Test matches will always be the most important form of cricket in my opnion. ODI's are fun to watch, but I will always favour the Test format more.

Congrats to England..I cant believe Pak would surrender like this. there was hope till Younis and Inzi were there, but that classic delivery by monty ended every hope..!
well u guys got ur revenge for the winter series loss! onto 4th match, i hope Pakistan get a consolation win atleast

the reason England has won the test match is not because they played great cricket, but because of very very generous umpiring

Oh dear not another one. It isn't our fault that the umpiring was shoddy. We played the better cricket, that's why we won.

No wait, he's got a point. I mean the umpires clearly did things like tell panesar how to bowl and lets not forget the oil slick they put down on the crease whilst Inza was there

Generous running between the wickets possibly but the umpiring has been similar for both teams and it would reflect far better on you were you able to admit that Pakistan were outplayed on this occasion rather than scrounge for non-existant excuses.

We'd be a better ODI team with better selectors I feel.

The fact that Lewis has played a test but not an ODI is laughable (This season btw)

I've called for Gough back just for his experience.

If Saj bowls like he did today at The Oval then I might be inclined to give him a second chance despite his drubbing vs Sri Lanka.

Our 5 bowlers should be:

JD
Chapple
Harmison
Lewis
Gough

And then Colly if neccesary.

Also means we have a long batting line up.

Luck come and goes in Cricket.

We could've had Yousuf out on 5, I remember a good appeal (Hitting middle to top of leg stump) by Hoggy on Yousuf.

I remember some very close LBWs by Monty too.

I expected more from Taufeeq Umar, he had so much potential a few years back but very disappointing here. But hopefully gets another chance as he at least can make some 100s which the top order has been lacking.

Agreed. I would love to see that line up, but i'd maybe give Tremlett a go somewhere. Overall though, I would be happy to see that.
