No he can never be Wasim akram in other words he can never be Greatest pakistani bowler. He can be as good as him but not him!

oh yes Glen Chapple is greatest bowler ever on Mars :p..

Did anybody notice a difference in Inzamam's approach today as a captain? He was going up to talk to the bowler very often, something he never does. His field placements and bowler changes were much better as well. He seems to have learned some things from Younis Khan. :p

its cuz inzi is trying to save his captain's position in the team! but I hope that doesnt work, we need Younis to be the captain

Asif can definetely be Pakistan's best bowler, the future will tell.

Inzi has been the best Captain Pakistan ever had, stats wise. His Winning Percent is superb!

yea but how many wins have come away from home under his captaincy ?

This is our first tour outside of the subcontinent with a settled lineup, and even this one has been marred by injuries. I think Pakistanis are being too harsh on him. Besides, I don't think its a very good idea to change captains with just a few months left in the World Cup.

Exactly, I don't think Inzamam is to blame at all for the bad things that have happened in this tour. Apart from Old Trafford, he has batted well, and if his fielders would have taken catches, and some of his bowlers bowled better, then this could be an entirely different series.

Spot on, mate. Throw in a few correct decisions by the umpires and this series would've been a lot more exciting for everyone.

Asif and Gul looked top class today. That first ball to Monty would've beaten many better batsmen, espescially as it was the first ball he faced. Farhat and Hafeez both looked quality, despite the latter getting only 8 runs so far, although for a change both Younis and Yousuf looked uncomfortable, espescially when you look at the rate Farhat was going at. I think Farhat will make a century, I can't see Yousuf getting a big score though. :( I think Hafeez will come in after 1 down tomorrow and hopefully put together a decent knock.

Asif was exceptional today, I must admit that I was wrong about him; He's a class act. However, it's still far too early in his career to be comparing him with McGrath or any other great fast bowler.

The same thing doesn't stop people harping on about Monty being the best left arm spinner.

I honestly don't care how many runs who makes, as long as Pakistan takes a big lead.

BTW, this is funny. Asif has apparently requested Cricinfo to change his profile picture. Can't say I blame him though:

lol i read that...the picture seems like it was taken right after the end of days play or something, cuz he looks so red!

I really hope that Inzi gets a century or something big, since this will be his last test in and against England.

Asif has definitely had a bright start to his career, but I agree that one shouldn't jump ahead in comparisons (or possible comparisons). Pathan was hailed as India's answer to Wasim Akram and look what he is now--an allrounder struggling to get into the top XI.

Having said all that, one thing is for sure. Unless one of the Pakistani bowlers pulled an amazing trick out of their sleeves, I don't think Pakistan could've won the Old Trafford test since our batsmen were clueless as to how to face Harmison.
Exactly, the margin of victory in both the games were huge. Besides the ifs and buts, no matter how valid they may seem, dont matter in the end.
