Well Sajid has a C&G final to play on Saturday, so a good performance from him could book him an England place. The same applies for Chapple, Loye, Prior and maybe even Yardy too.

I can't see us playing 4 out and out bowlers, even if they are useful with the bat. For the simple reason that I can't see England selecting Read to bat him at 7. I expect him to play, but from number 8, as he's shown in the past that he can get to 20 or 30 quickly, but I wouldn't back him to score 70 or 80 at this level to rebuild an innings in the same way that Jones did.

I can only assume you are referring to the Afridi incident. I don't think many Pakistanis aren't ashamed of that incident. I personally have stopped supporting him altogether. He got a just suspension from the officials. He's one of the few overzealous cricketers left in and outside of Pakistan. Can we move on now?

Of course man, nothing nasty meant in the comment. But 1 player with actions like these can damage a team's reputation. If an england player did this they would be slaughterd over here. yet afridi is still in the team. How ashamed are pakistan of this incident?

Mohammad Yousuf is far away the best player in the series.

It is not the first time that Pakistan has crossed swords with the controversial figure Hair, and Inzamam was unequivocal in his stance. "This allegation is mean," he said. "He's not saying what his allegation is, he's just saying your guy is cheating. In my personal opinion, TV will show if anyone is tampering.

"It's very simple," he continued. "There are 26 cameras there [from Sky Sports] and nobody's picked anything. This hearing will not take place in the [referee's] room, it's on the front of the media, everything is on the media."

Inzamam ran through the chain of events in his on-pitch confrontation with the umpires. "They did not warn me," he said, "and then they gave five [penalty] runs. [Hair] did not talk to me, he wasn't telling me when he's changed the ball, he didn't ask me 'can we change the ball?'"

You know Im pretty Sure there is law that the Captain must know everything, before it has happened, the Umpire must tell him Clearly what has happened. Inzamam was Ignored by the Referee. Why must he face the ban? Why not the Umpire? The Umpire was wrong about the desision and he was wrong in telling his desision to the Captain. :mad

We don't know if the umpire was wrong about the decision. The ICC seem to be confident enough about it to charge Inzi so it doesn't sound like they are about to back down.

I think now there should be a poll on who the people think is right...Hair or Pakistan..

Who was the Man of the Series? I know this is sort of out of place with all this controversy but I don't know.

can't have a poll until all the facts are known..

i think just about everyone's in agreement that Yousef is man of the series.he scored over 500 runs...

True, but our Batsmen are more use to playing in those conditions....Pakistan looked all at sea.

You have to admit that Pakistan have a better chance to beat England on a flat-top, where-as England have a better chance to beat Pakistan on a green-top.

I don't think i am pointing oout anything new there.

Perhaps your are right as the England bowlers depend on the conditions and the pitch to produce something but the Pakistani bowlers are capable of producing special deliveries on any surface, provided they are not disqualified for ball tampering because the balls become unplayable for the opposing batsmen.

I don't think I really have to admit anything here. England have shown that they are not the best ODI outfit. In the Lanka series, they dominated at the start and fell away towards the end and got crushed in the ODIs. In this Pakistan series they dominated in the start and were starting to fall away when this controversy happened. The patterns are exact and although it would be dangerous to guess, I guess that England are just not a good ODI outfit. Their number 7 (or is it 8?) position in the ranking would justify this, but the rankings are messed up.
