I totally accept Ian Bell as the M.O.S

One thing i dont understand here though.
Was the track responsible for the poor batting or waw it some really excellent bowling fm both the sides ?

Few silly shots from the batsmen.
England should have won this game by 8 wickets if Pietersen hadn't of played a stupid shot and put the middle order under pressure

They might have lost their confidence
Also you may atrrib that to Inzi's captaincy.
He must be under pressure to win this after his side had posted a meagre total.

well it was a great game pakistan could have just rolled over but they played for the fans i know they gave it there all were the fans sadly it was not enough. i was in the stanley barnes upper and i saw it when asif was looking at the crowd i was like come on, the ball came to him and he was looking at the crowd, luckily turn round in time. i think if they had akhtar it may have been pakistans games he might off been able to skittle the tail out quickly with his pace

Akhtar would have finished off the tail end becoz he has pace and he is an experienced bowler...... , i must say that 155 is a very low target for Pakistan to defend if Akhtar is not there... Anyway it was a very tough match at the end....

I've said this before (and have been told of it before as well).....Ifs, buts and woulds dont have too much meaning.

When sajid mahmood came to bowl he got booed so much and then when he bowled one delivery the bowl kinda slipped out of his hand, i dont think he did it intentionally, i thought he is going to have a really bad game them, but he came back well

I think its pretty shocking that pakistan fans come to the game and boo the england players, i say ban them! I dont remeber us doing that in pakistan.

You have a real chip on your shoulder don't you ;). I don't remember Pakistani fans moaning about the 'Cheat' chants in the English crowd during the Twenty20. I don't see why Australian fans and Barmy Army (not as bad though) can get away with offensive chants, but Pakistani fans must get banned.

i went to the match besides mahmood they didnt boo any other ones not that i can remember i was cheering when the pakistanis were getting wickets and once my phone went up in the air lucky i caught it, it was great just 3 more wickets were required but fair play to england.

Anti-climax really. Came closeish at the end there. Pakistan bowled well.

Bad pitch, poor scores.

Well done England, somehow you get out of jail with a drawn series.

Boring game to be honest.

Got out of jail? We out played Pakistan in the 2 we won, and I feel we should've won at the Rose Bowl.

Good performance yesterday, the 2 spinners bowled well 13 overs 3-35 between them. Yardy and JD should play together in most if not all games, spin is being proven so effective time and time again in OD cricket. Plus both are genuine batsman. Perhaps a shining light for our World Cup.

Nice to see Saj have a good game, needs a good CT though. Congrats to Colly on 100 ODIs and 50 Wickets.

England has improved their batting and as well as bowling..... well yes Yardy and JD are really gud players..... What Pakistan lacks is a gud opening pair and sharp fielding....If Pakistan can do this, before the World Cup then it will be really gud....

Pakistan are very lethargic in their fielding and it is becoming a real hindrance to their game. So much so that the opposition plays with an extra man.

All Asian sides have been said to be concerned about the fielding, or lack of ability in the field, they fumble, drop, mistime and overthrow the ball many times in a match, gifting thier opposition more runs on the board, although Pakistan look to have a impressive bowling attack when all fit, it is the fact that only 7 or 8 of the field can actually catch, and one of those who is undecided in many peoples mind is the wicket keeper Kamren Akmel, he is a handy batsmen but sometimes just doesnt take the ball in well enough when faced with the spinners in particular, i watched a little bit of him in the tests and he had 4 or 5 chances to stump an England player but he didnt get the basics right, he got excited before he actually got the wicket, now most people who have a bit of knowledge behind the stumps know that you have to keep calm until the bails are removed, because you can see what happens. Now Pakistan have improved over the years but they still need to get the basics in the field right, they dropped an aweful lot over the test series and it really let England back in, and aswell in the ODI, they really didnt keep the pressure on in the last two games, else im sorry to say it, they would have whipped out England and took home the throphy!

My essay is long but im sure its impressive ;)

I have to disagree with the Akmal point; Exceitement had nothing to do with it in my opinion, it was more a case of struggling to adapt to English conditions.

It has nothing to do with adapting to conditions. Know i havnt been to India or Pakistan, but i have been to the north of france in summer, which is hotter than England and the pitches, although very few, are what i would call "asian look a likes" thier very slow, not much bounce and they dont really give batting sides a chance.

Now i kept wicket in France and if you do the basics right you can have a successful time, now he is a international cricketer he should be able to take those chances, but he got excited, or started to panic, i think he got over excited too early and fumbled his chances!
