Imran Farhat catch, wwwwwwow :( broke his finger :(.

Lovley innings fron Bell; I was really impressed with his scoring rate as it was constantly above 80; I feel sorry for that lad I do. I wouldn't read too much into Harmsion's injury, and if he plays like he did on Thursday then this test could be over by Sunday. Although i'd be a fool to write off a team with Inzi and Yousef in their team.

I have been to so many test matches but Bell's innings today is probably the best hundred I have witnessed. Fantastic knock and stating a good claim for a place in the side.

My general analysis over the first two days is that Pakistan didn't bat well, but should have expected what they got. They have experience in their middle order and at least two of them have played at OT before. England played the pitch well. The biggest dissapointment for me is Danish Kaneria, has bowled to flat, not enough googly's and generally poorly.

yea kaneria could have done much better, also pakistan should think of playing another bowler ratehr than afridi as with razzak they already have a good allrounder.

You went to Old Trafford today James?

Razzaq was also awful today! He kept banging it into the pitch when he bowls about 80. Why? Stupid on a decent pitch at his pace.

Robo - Yes.

He bowled a lot of half-volleys too. Umar Gul was Pakistan's best bowler today, and Sami did Jones over good and proper.

That's no achievement to get a tailender out evertonfan ;)

I hope Jones injury keeps him out of the 3rd test. Unlikely.

we have so many injuries, why can't it be him?

As JJ3 said, a classic Bell innings, a beautiful hundred, one of the best I've seen for a long time.

I have a strange feeling that we could see Trescothick with the gloves on tomorrow.

If Jones does miss the third test I want Prior in there.

Lol, good old tresco, always there when you need him, i reckon Bell would be a good lil WK :D

GoJo has go to go out of the test squad 8 runs today, and 6 of those came from a undecisive maximum were he nearly got out only for the Pakistani fielder not to be quite tall enough!

I watched the whole day of play yesterday (from 9pm - 3am :p) and i thought i should post up my thoughts of the 2nd days play.

Sami - Needs to keep some consistency in the pressure he is bowling with, he looked convincing at times but others very light.

Umar Gul - Very good line and length by Gul, I was impressed with his bowling especially since they are lacking fast bowlers ATM, I had never seen the man bowl before but did impress

Danish Keneiria - Extremelly unlucky not to get a few wickets, came close so many times.

Al Cook - Very good batsmen, should hopefully develop into a long time opener

Paul Collingwood - Didnt really watch him but went out with a weak dismissal

Ian Bell - WHAT AN INNINGS, traditionally im an ian bell hater, but the kid really impressed me, played well with the tail and deserved the century.

It was an interesting days play and Englands test status should be taken away if they lose from here. So hopefully they wont.

Pakistan are missing Asif and Ahktar so any hope they had of bowling out England this series went with those two. Pakistan can still save this match with Inzi and Yousuf who can bat for ages and maybe some help from the heavens.
