South Africa falling apart

Razzaq took his second after being hit for six by Gibbs. Gibbs tried to slog another one for a six but the ball was too good for him and Gibbs had to go on his back foot which made him edge the ball to Akmal's right where Akmal dived and took the catch nicely.

South Africa are 3-93 after 18 overs.

Still extremly tough for SA to win this one!!!!! Some hammering is required from someone for SA!!!
Go on SA!!!!

Smith leading the chase

Smith is leading South Africa in the right direction after giving strict orders to slog every ball possible but people like Gibbs doesn't like that method too after getting out for 6 slogging. But slogging does have an advantage and that was a rise in the run-rate and higher confidence. At the 20 over of South Africa's innings, South Africa are on top but have lost 3 wickets for 113 runs which is 11 runs more than Pakistan at the 20 over mark. This is still a pretty even match at the moment.

Smith's 50

South African skipper, Graeme Smith has (kind of) saved his team with a great 74 ball half-century. Smith hit 9 fours and a six in his great knock.

South Africa are 3-123 after 23 overs.

30 Over Mark

South Africa are batting very smoothly, Prince is handling the bowlers very well with a 41 (36)* and Smith is on 65 (97)*. Pakistan will have to get a wicket soon to put South Africa down again.

Prince's 50

Ashwell Prince has reached his half-century. Prince hit 8 fours and 3 sixes in his innings. This knock has raised the home crowd's spirits as well as the team back in the pavillion.

South Africa are 3-197 after 37 overs.

Smith's gone!

Razzaq gets his third with a outswinger which would of gone wide but Smith tried to cut into the gap but only managed to edge it to Malik at first slip and made a spectacular catch.

South Africa are 4-201 after 38 overs.

very nice story here mate. im going to tip pakistan in a tight finish. this is a really good BLIC story - which we havent seen a whole lot of. keep up the great work mick. its really looking good. great graphics and realistic gameplay (appart from probably the gibbs dismissal)

Is it all over?

Rudolph and Pollock are gone in Razzaq's one over. Rudolph got out LBW for 10 (11) by a slower ball yorker which Rudolph mis-timed and missed.

Pollock got out for a duck (thank god it wasn't golden) while trying to cut Razzaq for a six and ended getting caught by Ul-Haq.

Desperate times call for desperate measures, Smith moves Van Der Wath up the batting order to slog to his very best.

South Africa are 6-221 after 42 overs.

Good story madmick. I think Pakistan will win though. Keep it up! :cheers

All hope almost lost

Prince is gone after trying to hit a six on the off-side and was caught by Yousuf. Boucher is the next man in, he has saved South Africa many times can he do it again?

Tragedy

Van Der Wath has been bowled by Malik's slower ball on South Africa's peak of victory. Van Der Wath made a great 43 (21) with Boucher 40 (12)*. They slogged almost every ball they were given to get to the position they are in now, South Africa only need 2 runs to win off 10 balls.
