The second ODI between South Africa and Pakistan will be played at the Wanderers.
This pitch will suit the spinners more than the seamers due to the dryness of the pitch. There are a few changes to the teams with Arshad Khan replacing Fazle Akbar and Andre Nel and Andrew Hall coming into South Africa's team for the second ODI.Pakistan have won the toss and have elected to bat first.
Fazle Akbar wasn't in the lineup for the first ODI, and Arshad Khan isn't here in the second!
And also, how come Gibbs, Smith, Prince and Dippenaar are better bowlers that van Der Wath??

fazle akbar was in the squad so i replaced him with khan, evry1 is better than van der wath because i forgot to change his ranking to a decent 70 or 65 (he's a joe bloggs)

good going!!!! but i would go for SA again simply becos they are chasing again!!!!
SA shd be winning this!!!
Gud Luck!!!

Pakistan made a grea start but the 3 quick wickets will effect their runrate now...

Skipper falls on the 30 over mark

Inzamam-Ul-Haq has been caught by Dippenaar for 44 in the slips by the bowling of Hall. Hall bowled a yorker length in-swinger which Ul-Haq tried to play onto the leg-side but ended up edging to first slip.

Pakistan are scoring at a great run-rate of around 5-6 runs an over. If they keep this up, Pakistan might make a dangeroulsy large total.

Khan reaches his 50 then gets out

Khan has reached his half-century with some great batting, he was smashing the ball in lots of places. Even after he reached his 50 he was still smashing the ball around, that was until Van der Wath went to bowl around the wicket, the ball swung back into him, Khan tried playing onto the leg-side like Ul-Haq but got bowled off-stump for a great 51.

Pakistan are 5-226 after 33 overs.

South Africa are on top I'd say. They need to get into the tail as soon as possible otherwise Pakistan could make a decent target.

Yousuf and Razzaq gone

Mohammad Yousuf has been dismissed for a quick 18 (14) after Smith bowled a great slightly quicker where Smith varied his speed of his balls. Yousuf played it too late and popped it up for Van Der Wath to catch him at square-leg, lucky for Smith because Van Der Wath dropped the same ball at square-leg the ball before.

A few balls later Smith bowled his arm-ball which Razzaq tried to drive but the ball caught the edge of the bat and landed in Dippenaar's hand for a 3 ball duck.

Pakistan are 7-226 after 34 overs.

Tail exposed...

Kamran Akmal has been sent back to the pavillion LBW by a deceptive slower ball for 14 by Van Der Wath. The ball swung in a little when a Akmal was trying to play the ball down to third man, it then hit his back leg and was given out LBW. The tail-enders Sami, Naved Ul Hasun and Akhtar will have to bat better than normal to give Pakistan a real advantage now.

Pakistan are 8-226 after 35 overs.

End of Pakistan's Innings

Naved Ul Hasun has been run-out by Ntini, Naved Ul Hasun edged ball and missed the stumps barely, the ball rolled away to around the area of 5th slip where Ntini from gully picked it up, threw it at the stumps where Boucher caught the ball and took the bails off. The umpire went to the 3rd umpire for the decision and the light was red OUT!

First ball of the next over, Kallis bowled a in-swinger which was going wide but Akhtar tried to play it but that resulted in him edging it back right onto the top of his leg-stump.

Nice presentation. Great work Mick! Keep it up.

South Africa only need 4.72 runs per over.

My prediction: I think South Africa will win by 5 wickets.

MadMick: Making it more prettier is good though as long as you don't stop the story. It makes it more appealing and readers will notice. Keep it up!
