Summary

For the people who want to see the closest thing to the scorecard here is the summary so far. I forgot to take a screenshot of the bowling and batting scorecard so I just took a screenie of the match summary. I hope you like I rigged it. :D Or does it look too plain? It needs to readable...

I'd only do effects with in-game screens. You want to be able to see the scorecard and whatever the main thing is in the screenie. Just my opinion.

Excellent work!

Gibbs gone early

Herschelle Gibbs has been dismissed for a low 13 after being decieved by Sami's great off-cutter. The few previous balls, the off-cutters cut very sharply to Gibb's leg-side, but the ball that got Gibbs out did not cut that much it just swung a tiny fraction and cut slightly to Gibb's right, this ball uprooted Gibb's middle-stump at a speed close to 155 km/h or 96.5 mph. Kallis joins the skipper in the middle now.

thx mate, and 4 evry1 who is reading my story :D :cheers

The first and third pictures look pretty bad to me. Just my opinion. Little effects will do Mick. Surrendar's pictures are probably the best example to look at. (Sorry for advertising) Is that a Sommers bat in the third picture?

Keep up the great work!

okay....that was helpful :crying ......Surendars work is probably perfect and yes that was a sommers bat

Sami takes two

Sami has taken his second wicket with a convincing in-swinger to Smith for 22, Smith went forward too early and the ball swung a bit too much for him to stop, so the ball just flew in and crashed into his leg-stump.

South Africa at the 10 over are looking pretty strong even with the loss of two early wickets. Sami is bowling a very good and consistent line and Akhtar is bowling extremely fast, reaching the 160 km/h mark many times already but speed isn't everything. Inzamam-Ul-Haq may just let them bowl their full 10 overs first before anybody else can bowl

Does this look better?

Im no expert at photoshop...thought Id say that first.

I have advice...please dont take it as offensive...

Stick to one effect that makes sense...e.g. If you hit a six...make an effect for the ball looking like its going at light speed (kinda like Andrew Nixon's sig).

The brick effect is nice and I personally like it...use it for anything

Use the drawing effect when Smith got out carefully cos it can look bad if used wrong...in that place it doesnt look too good.

Keep the scorecard as it is...maybe highlighting great figures...but thats it cos the overlay is meant to be an effect itself...

Good attempt and the story itself is great

I think they look pretty good.
One piece of advice, be careful when you type. You wrote on the last page that a Pakistani batsman was runout by Akmal!
Also, if possible, reduce the size of the pics.
Apart from that it is pretty good.

Looks good mate...but only use little effects not very much...anyways this match could go either way...

Those are some very good Effects.. I especially like the First Picture, but Im okay with anything as long as I can read it! :cheers

The effects are better in the second set of pictures. Well done Mick! :clap.

thx 4 ur replies and tips, ill try to make it better coz im a beginner with photoshop *cough* im 13 *cough* updates soon

Kallis goes home..

South African star all-rounder, Jacques Kallis has been bowled by Razzaq in his second over 2 balls after reaching his 50. Kallis was tricked by a slower ball which seemed to swing to the leg-side but didn't, the ball landed in the middle and went straight into middle-stump.

2 balls later Kallis was bowled for 50 (46) by Razzaq
