:doh

I said it earlier. Get rid of Malik and Misbah, possibly Yousuf, and the team will be alot better off.

So Pakistan just has a wealth of batting talent waiting in the wings then. Pakistan needs to give Yousuf some time to settle in.

Whoa when did Murali learn to hit like that. No surprise at the state of Pakistan's inns though, knew their batting would fail like it did in the Test series.
In this case at least, the lack of penetration in Sri Lanka's first 20 overs was what put the batsmen in tough situation.

Why have Sri Lanka gone back to Tharanga, he's been so bad for a couple of years now.

Sounds like the fielding has been top-class though

Dilshan is injured for the first few ODI's. He would have opened with Jayasuriya otherwise.

Though I agree with the guy who brought up Udawatte. Need to start giving some of these young guys a chance, especially at opener. Jayasuriya won't be around for long, and the opener slots in Tests are more than up for grabs.

Murli's handy and very imp inngs was the key + he got wickets,Pak tail tried hard late, but in vain...Umar Gul can bat,if he concentrates more on his batting, that will be very useful for Pak side...

Seems I was right last year when I called Murali a pinch hitting Power Play specialist.

Most destructive batsman in world cricket? Murali.

After loosing 2 back-toback matches and test series, its difficult (but not impossible) for them to win all the remaining 3 matches, they have the talent in them,no doubt, lets see how they play in the remaining matches.

I've only checked the cricinfo scorecard but I think it's safe to assume Pakistan played fairly poorly.

Been to inconsistent for a while now (as Sanga hinted). Needs to start putting on good scores on a regular basis.

He played international cricket far too early, he did make his debut in Australia at just 18. I think he will go on to become a very respected batsmen.
