Shoaib Joins ICL, Blow to PCB?

Shoaib has been announced as the ICL's latest signing and is reported to be on a lucrative deal which matches or betters some of the other greats like Brian Lara.

Shoaib yestoday was ordered to a hearing with the PCB to discuss his antics with the Pakistan team over the past few years. Shoaib has been seen with the ICL's bosses and speculation rose even before Pakistans recent T20 matches.

Shoaib is likely not to appear before the PCB due to this offer and its unknown whether the Pakistan team will suffer from this, but with Pakistan looking in good form, they will no doubt claim it to be better.

What do you think? Will Pakistan rue the fact that thier no.1 paceman not available?

Lol, sucked in PCB say goodbye to one of your best. Shock sigining. Nice pres.

It's a shame for you, and good for others. Nice twist.

Bangladesh Pull Off Surprise Victory

As the West Indian batsmen strode out to the middle, they did not know that they would be losing this game by a huge margin. The openers started off well with Chris Gayle and Smith adding 25 for the first wicket. However, Smith and Gayle departed in the same over by some good fielding by the Bangladeshis. This slowed the scoring rate just a bit. Skipper Ramnaresh Sarwan was playing along nicely but at the other end, wickets tumbled like rubble as soon as Saqibul Hasan was introduced into the attack. He destroyed the West Indian top-order with some superb left-arm bowling. By the 9th over, West Indies were realing at 46/7. Sarwan fought a valiant rearguard action but in the end the West Indians were outclassed by the minnows of International Cricket. Aftab Ahmed wrapped it all up with 3 wickets.

Well the scorecard shows it all. Only two batsmen getting into double figures. Ramnaresh Sarwan was the only batsmen who looked settled but he ran out of partners. The Bangladesh bowling was tight and did not offer any room for the West Indian batsmen, thus causing a middle-oder collapse. Saqibul Hasan was awarded the Man Of The Match with his 18 runs and his match winning figures of 4-23.

So with this win under Bangladesh's belt, they climb to the top of the table. The West Indies have now played all of their group games. South Africa will be knocked out if the following happens:
*If Bangladesh beat South Africa,
*If the Bangladesh and South Africa game is a no result.

A surprise victory, and good work mate well done.

I don't think Ahktar will be a huge loss to Pakistani cricket. Doesn't do much anyway.

To answer your question, I don't think this total will be good enough for Bangladesh to defend. The West Indies should chase this down, though "stranger things have happenend".

*Starts singings Stadium Arcadium*

Man how wrong was I. A great performance by Bangladesh. They bowled really well.

Wow, I love your topic mate!

Barmy Army, the 20/20 patch doesnt work with abbh's? :S

i thought he rejected the Indian Cricket League offer... but wants to join the Indian Premier League... he is still under contract and needs permission from Pakistan's Cricket Authorities to sign the contract... anyway let see what happens with the disciplinary committee, a final decision will be made next week.
