Pakistan Tour of Australia 2009/10

The way you get a batsmen out is to encourage them to attack you, and that was Hauritz problem at the start of his career, he just bowled darts.

Unless your naturally gifted like Murali, it's not an easy thing to get a batsmen out as a finger spinner if they are looking to defend.

Vettori has 313 wickets. 203 of those have been out by caught. That sounds like he encourages the batsmen to attack him to me. A dart bowler would attack the stumps and the pads, more LBWs and bowled.

Here I'll put it in words you can understand. A decent player of spin, should have no problems in dealing with Nathan Hauritz, the first innings was a good example.

Aren't Pakistanis good against spin? They played India for so many years in the subcontinent...

You forgot to mention his SR, caught after how many blocks exactly?

BTW that quote describes exactly the trajectory Vettori bowls.

Yeah, they're so good they made Ranga Herath look like the all-time greatest left arm wicket taker in the history of test cricket ;)

By that logic I wouldn't be able to criticize any test players bar maybe each teams number four.

Who is NZ's number 4? Is it still Ross Taylor? If so, you still can't criticise any Test players ;) Mike Hussey, Sachin Tendulkar, Jacques Kallis, Kevin Pietersen, Mahela Jayawardene, Mohammed Yousuf and Shivnarine Chanderpaul; nope don't think you can criticise any of those :p Feel free to rip into Junaid Siddique as much as you like though........;)

I must ask, have you actually ever seen Daniel Vettori bowl?

Ah good old Pakistan, can always trust them to collapse for you :)
Was Siddle injured or did he get pulled? Hes really lucky Hilfy isn't fit as he could have been dropped.

Hauritz now on a 5 fer streak, gone from never getting one to two on the trot.

Duh. Left-arm orthodox darting the balls at the stumps for a right hander. Although it outside off-stump for a left hander. A bit similar to the way Clarke bowls, not as much round-arm.

GTFO :p And don't worry I will.

:laugh Wow.

:laugh I've criticised Daniel Vettori as a Test bowler in the past, but comparing him to Michael Clarke is just hilarious. Vettori's one of the best Test cricketers in the world. Consistent batsman, NZ's best bowler when Bond's not playing and a brilliant leader that sets a brilliant example for his side.

I'd say, Vettori's a far better batsmen. Comparing somebody who averaged 54 to someone who averaged 59 is just disgusting :p

This is why you should never question Australian players Salman Butt.:sarcasm Hauritiz pwned you.

Can't beileve they coundn't even score 176:doh:doh.
this was a really annoying match for the Pakistani fans

Considering how the likes of Lara and Tendulkar played against Warne and Muralitharan, a decent player of spin should be able to beat the crap out of virtually all the spinners in international cricket right now.
