Pakistan Tour of Australia 2009/10

WTF does that mean? He got a lot of balls to spin this innings and nothing is diffirent from his bowling to any others. What would you describe as a "pie" exactly? Something that invites a batsmen to attack or a dart thrower (eg Vettori)?

:facepalm I'm not even going to bother to answer this if you just called Daniel Vettori a "dart thrower"

Yes I already know, you rate you're spinners on how much turn they get. Two tests ago Hauritz was that bad you wanted him replaced by a guy that averages 73 in FC cricket, says it all really. I'm guessing Hauritz > Vettori after today.

No I am not saying anything. But take a look at your spinner before criticizing others. Especially on "pie throwing" :facepalm

By that logic I wouldn't be able to criticize any test players bar maybe each teams number four. I really don't care what people who don't follow New Zealand cricket say about Vettori tbh, but saying he's a dart bowler is ridiculous.

Did it ever come to your mind that others might be thinking the same about your comments?

Hauritz has bowled exceptionaly well this match, despite what you think.

I never said anything about Hauritz's performance in this game bar his first innings, which he went for almost five an over and only picked up one wicket. I just think any decent player of spin should be able to put him away and when people go after him he seems to lose it abit by bowling short, fair enough comment IMO.

IMO none of Hauritz wicket's were outstanding. Sure thing he did get a 5-fer, but 3 out of his dismissals were the tail enders. Yousef and Misbah both gave their wickets away rather than Hauritz taking them

I'm not a huge fan of Hauritz actually, I don't really consider him that much of a threat and I think he is slightly overbowled, but he obviously did well today to pick up the 5-fer, and the crucial one MoYo.. that was almost the turning point of Pakistan's second innings, I feel.

Still, I don't like Hauritz compared to other bowlers, he just doesn't seem dangerous enough to me.. I feel like if I was batting I would be able to play him fairly easily.. and we need wickets. But the Pakistanis lots their heads, and he got wickets, so fair play to him.

So you just showed hom much on spin bowling you really know. :facepalm

Warny got smashed many times in his career, and like Hauritz he bounced back and got the wickets. You been watching Vettori for such a long time, that you forgot what spin bowling actually is.

Lol at your Vettori bashing. He's that good of a player.

lol :laugh:laugh

The way you get a batsmen out is to encourage them to attack you, and that was Hauritz problem at the start of his career, he just bowled darts.

Unless your naturally gifted like Murali, it's not an easy thing to get a batsmen out as a finger spinner if they are looking to defend.

Pakistan blew a great opportunity in this match. If you bowl a side out for under 200, you still need to concentrate and not ease the pressure on the other team. Pakistan invited Australia back into the game by dropping catches and setting poor fields. This allowed Hussey and Siddle to put on a 100 run partnership for the 9th wicket. This gave Pakistan a testing target of 176. I don't think Pakistan knew how to approach the run chase. They didn't know to attack or defend. This led to many of the wickets falling (like Farhat, Yousuf, Misbah and Kamran Akmal.) The Australians bowled with accuracy and discipline (especially Hauritz and Johnson) to secure a famous victory, and a series win.

Yes, I know nothing about spin bowling :laugh Btw I probably wouldn't be comparing Hauritz with Warne, that's never going to end well.

Here I'll put it in words you can understand. A decent player of spin, should have no problems in dealing with Nathan Hauritz, the first innings was a good example.
