Pakistan Tour of Australia 2009/10

We have lost direction big time here. Still haven't hit out although Pakistan are bowling well and still no powerplay.

Hussey gone though, we have well and truely stuffed this total up. Lets see if Haddin can hit out as I have my doubts.

Decent total, lets see if Pakistan can do it, IF they bat well its not a huge total to chase. Knowing Pakistan they could be all out for 80 or chase it down with 15 overs to spare with 2 wickets down!

They may need to show patience, as it was shown that the full length ball was not so easy to get away.

FACT: Batting powerplay = wickets falling.

Teams will soon start using them only when they can afford to lose a couple of wickets. Today for example, a perfect time would have been after Watson or even Marsh got out. If you lose your first wicket at 20 overs, send in a Haddin, give him a couple of overs to get his eye and then take the PP. You'll surely lose Haddin, maybe the other guy too. But 3 for whatever after 25 is OK.

But after that you can't really take it too early because an extra couple of wickets would have left Australia 5 or 6 down with plenty of overs left. With no Mitch Johnson we can't really afford that.

is there some commentry other than channel 9 that I can listen to? any radio commentators etc.?

Today was a prime example of the spinners slowing us down in the middle. It happened last summer with Botha, Duminy, Patel and Vettori but then thanks to Callum Ferguson and the great form of the ODI team we managed to sort it out. Now it's back to haunt us

Try 774 AM (ABC Radio). I've got my TV muted and listening to them.

are you listening online? If yes can you send me the link... I am lost on the website.... thanks

ok I found it ... but its for Australia IPs only... dammit

I'm not listening to it online, but I think you should be able to listen to it online from ABC Melbourne

EDIT - Good work by Bollinger and Siddle so far. Good to get that wicket early. I'm impressed with how far Siddle's got his pace up.

Bollinger you good thing, excellent spell of bowling by both bowlers. Siddle bowling as fast as he has all summer, consistently in the high 140s.

aussie1st added 1 Minutes and 41 Seconds later...

Wouldn't be the worst idea but the captains don't think outside the box. We need SL to spark another reinvention. I definitely agree with getting Haddin set, its one reason why I like him as opener. Plus hes very good against spin so the slow periods we had today might have been avoided.
