Pakistan Tour of Australia 2009/10

Awesome work by Harris with the run out attempt then he made up with the wicket of Akmal. And now hes on a hattrick, go you good thing.

Harris on hattrick and also on the verge of getting another 5fer :banana2

Yea Ryan Harris is a very impressive bowler, hopefully the Australian selectors don't send him over to New Zealand haha. Why was he behind McKay to begin with anyway?

Ryan Harris looks a decent find. He's an interesting one though, because if you looked at his domestic stats you'd struggle to work out how he's doing so well at International level, doesn't have particularly impressive stats at all, except with the ball in T20's anyway. Looks to have a solid action, he's accurate, gets abit of movement and bounce and operates at a decent pace. Judging by his domestic stats I am struggling to work out how he's deemed an all-rounder though :p

Afridi gone. Pakistan are terrible.

Massive credit for the Aussies, 12 months ago our ODI cricket was at a decade low. Then they won in Eng, India, Champ trophy, thrashing Pakistan now it has to be said, what a great young team. Guys like McKay, Harris, Haddin, Bollinger, Hauritz, Watson have all stepped up brilliantly.

Man, Pakistan are soooooooooo bad. I really thought they would do much better in the ODIs.

McKay performed well last season and the Champions League performance probably helped him get a gig in India and clearly he was in the selectors mind for Test selection. Harris has been a find though. Bit surprising his FC stats aren't better when hes bowling like this.

But if you look at his last two years of domestic cricket it reads:

07-08: 37 wickets at 29
08-09: 33 wickets at 26

Before those two seasons the most balls he'd ever bowled in a FC season was 789 in his second domestic season when he would of been 22. Maybe it was a case of just needing to get some consistant cricket in him.

Drop from Hopes a couple of overs back. Struggling to work out what he actually offers this side. Not a particularly impressive bowler, done nothing with the bat and hes not exceptional in the field. There must be better cricketers than him around Australia surely?

I wanna see Shaun Tait back in the Australian side. Sure he can only bowl 2 over spells and is pretty wayward, but he's quick. Love watching him bowl, has a horrible action but it's great seeing a guy bowling genuinely quick. Australia could have such an entertaining bowling attack in T20's and ODi's if everyone was fit. Imagine facing Lee, Johnson, Nannes and Tait on a quick deck, that'd be so good to watch.
