Pakistan Tour of Australia 2009/10

Ian Healy is such a goose. Can somebody please tell him that Afridi is NOT a batsmen, why in the world would he come in at six.

He has opened the batting for Pakistan on many occasions, and has made some awesome innings.

Even if he falls early, he will get Pakistan into a fast start, something which they are struggling to do.

Yea, Afridi should open or come in at seven/eight. He isn't a good enough batsmen to come in at five/six and bat for 20+ overs.

I disagree, he could be a great batsmen if he wanted to be. His hand-eye coordination is amazing.

TumTum added 4 Minutes and 2 Seconds later...

Afridi is the best batsmen Pakistan have got for ODI and T20 cricket.

The rest suck, as you have seen this series.

He's 29 and averages 23 with the bat, he isn't a number middle order batsmen. If he wasn't so concerned about being Boom Boom Afridi then maybe he could of been a good batsmen, but he's too old now to change the way he play's.

Have you even watched Afridi bat during this series? Every single run has been scored trying to hit the ball out of the park. Salman Butt, Younis Khan, Mohammad Yousuf and Umar Akmal are all far better one day batsmen.

Well we haven't seen enough of Umar to say much about him, but he looks like a very good prospect in LOI.

Afridi has played some awesome innings on ODI which include both the fastest and 2nd fastest ODI centuries.
