It could have been so different if they had won as they should have at Sydney. Even if they lost the third test after that, they would still have walked out of the test series and into the ODI series with their heads held high. 3-0 is much more demoralizing and as a result, they had no momentum going into the ODI series.
At least the Pakistanis get a chance at redemption later this English summer. Although if they get whipped by England first, they stand even less of a chance against AUS
Its a shame cause no team has ever lost 7-0 in an ODI series. England were on their way when the 26/11 attacks happened. This could have well been the first 7-0, luckily for Pakistan the tour has ended.
I think it is stronger than 2007, at least in the bowling department, when you look at who is unavailable or didn't play in the last ODI right now. Guys like Lee, Bracken, Clark, Hilfenhaus, Siddle, Bollinger, Watson and didn't even need to use Tait. And still out of all of that the MOM and MOS were two quick bowlers in McKay and Harris.
Quite amazing how our bowling depth is starting to look really good for ODIs where only last year I was wondering who would step up for us. We haven't really had that many bowlers that ripped up in the FRC and usually guys like Hopes and Bird were near the top of the list for wickets taken so it was always hard to pick on OD form alone.
