Unless Pakistan chase amazingly well then Ricky's first innings declaration looks to have been perfectly timed. When you know the pitch could be a road its always hard to bowl the opposition out twice in a row, he's played it well Mr Ponting. He declares better than he pulls these days.....

I am starting to feel sorry for Ponting, when will he get his big break? The summer is almost over, he struggled last year, hope he can make ammends in the next 2 matches or the oversees series.

Today was mad, we were down at a right hander's fine leg up at the member's end, had Siddle/Johnson/Bollinger infront of us for most of Pakistan's innings. I got Mohammad Asif's signature with this dodgy red pen that I borrowed, the signature was as dodgy as the pen, like a red scribble pretty much, but it's still a signature. He even acknowleged the dodginess of the pen ("Eh, your pen isn't working too well"). (Y)

Pontings still got it imo, his Cardiff knock was a gem. It's just that he doesn't convert those 50's into 100's.

Plus, his ODI form in England and in the Champions Trophy was brilliant....
