Pakistan Tour of New Zealand - November 2016

Saw half an hour of gameplay, was utterly disappointed how Sami Aslam dropped a dolly on the 3rd ball of Aamir and now Naval is costing them. Just 2 wickets on a Green Top. Boy this is a disappointing performance of bowlers so far. Its a bowling paradise. There should atleast 4 wickets down by the end of 21 overs....

Why did Azhar give the second new ball to Imran instead of Sohail? Sohail could've completed his fifer!!!

Haha that shot from Younis. He is such a fail. His team needed him more then ever

Azhar Ali is such a terrible captain.[DOUBLEPOST=1480148104][/DOUBLEPOST]

Think twice before calling him a fail.

Why would I think twice? What special has he done for me to think twice? He has always struggled against moving wickets. The only wicket in England where he did not struggle was the most batting friendly. Also with Misbah missing you want your most 38 year senior player to step up and perform. I am pretty sure his retirement announcement is near. He averages 1.66 this series which happens to be his first in 5 years against New Zealand in NZ. He averages 48.57 in England but has scored only 340 runs out of which 218 came in that double century he scored earlier this year. He averages awesome against Bangladesh a 100+ average, averages 30 against South Africa. he has scored 184 runs against South Africa and out of which his highest is 111. Which means one good score each series whether or not he has played horribly in all other matches has kept him in the side.

I've said that before, but one big score is better than zero big scores. And calling a player with over 9000 runs at an average above 50 a fail? I don't think you're judging him impartially.

Fair enough.

It's now going to be interesting the way Pakistan will play in Australia considering they are screwing up in NZ. Younis Khan needs to step up for his young team but he just didn't do it this series.

Pakistan's lower order is extremely weak. I think a seam bowling all rounder should be called up for the Australia series.[DOUBLEPOST=1480199342][/DOUBLEPOST]

I agree it's quite improper calling hima fail, but Younis at least should score 20-30 runs at least instead of just single digit scores.

He will probably retire next year after the "home" series against Sri Lanka in October. Or perhaps earlier. If he and Misbah go together it will be a massive blow. This would be my XI after they're gone

Sami Aslam
Sharjeel Khan/Ahmed Shehzad
Azhar Ali
Asad Shafiq
Fawad Alam
Babar Azam
Sarfraz Ahmed :c:
Yasir Shah
Sohail Khan/Imad Wasim (conditions)
Mohammad Aamir/Mir Hamza
Wahab Riaz

Sarfraz being captain is just a dream. Azhar is definitely going to be captain, for some reason.

Wow. I feel bad for Babar Azam. 10 short of a hundred.:mad

Sarfraz Ahmed has 18 Test innings outside Asia and he is yet to score a 50. He averages 19.52 outside Asia in Tests.

source;cricout .

I'd always prefer Akmal brothers over Sarfraz! Kamran has been performing consistently in FC.
Stop joking. Sarfraz is a thousand times better than Akmal.

The major difference between both teams is that Pakistan's tailenders haven't score any runs in this series while The Newzealand's tailenders are regularly adding around 50 runs.
As a whole I feel all series should have atleast 5-6 side matches to allow visiting teams to acclimate with the foreign conditions, one of the major reason for so many one sided series in past few years are lack of side games.
