LOL at Misbah would have made any difference. TBH we lost the match the moment SL won the toss. The pitch has nothing in it for Quicks and will remain same for days and given that we have to bat fourth in this match, Herath will eat our batsmen alive.

No, he is not the best captain. Yes you guys did really well in 2011 and I like Misbah as a player, too but saying he is the best captain is just a bit of exaggeration.

for you mahindera singh dhoni is the best captain.i know every indian thinks this.but every pakistani thinks imran khan was the best captain in cricket.and internationally ricky ponting was the best captain and no one has matched his record yet.misbah is best captain only for pakistan from 2007 till present intest matches.

Well I don't think it's so much an argument of who the best captain is, but how much difference can a captain really make? To say that a Misbah lead Pakistan would have had SL all out by now seems silly to me. Maybe if you have some specific examples of what Misbah might have done better?

I thought they could have bowled pace a bit more to mix up the speeds and keep changing the batsman's mindset and footwork. They were probably hoping for a bit more reverse swing than was found. Also attack the stumps a bit more with the spin, I didn't watch all of it, but Rehman seemed to be happy with an off stump line with a stacked off side field for the RHB. Why not try pitching it on leg with a balanced field and get the RHB working against the spin? Reverse that for Ajmal vs Sangakkara and the same applies.

I am hoping the tail can stick around long enough to allow sanga to reach his 200, will put him equal with lara and only behind bradman for the most double hundreds.

given that herath is likely to come out and try to play a t20 innings it's not likely if randiv goes.
