^why are we blaming Hafeez for the batting failure. Generally bad umpiring and bating

bad umpiring was there at the time of Misbah ul haq as well.bad batting was also there at the time of Misbah ul haq but captain's innings is missing at the time of mohammad hafeez.maybe DRS is also needed.

We want Inzy back . In Inzamam's playing years, Pakistan was every innings scoring above 350 and considing runs over 350 which means batting was good but bowling was bad. Well we see everything different now , batting is bad and bowling is good. Can we get everything good. Sri Lanka have players of lot of experience like Sangakkara,Jayawardene,Dilshan who are still scoring over 150 but we also have big big names in our team like Younis,Hafeez,Umar Gul but noting from them . Why?

I remember Imran khan ,everything was perfect that time .They surely are in need to have a new batsman , I think Mohammad Ayub is not a good player , I wonder why Umar Akmal is not playing? And why they bought Saeed Ajmal as a nightwatchman instead they should've bought Abdur Rehman or Junaid Khan or even Gul but they send Saeed Ajmal and after Saeed Ajmal's dismissal, Asad Shaifq had to come , so why they did'nt let Asad go ,maybe by taking guard before Ajmal could come handy.

This is true, but Taufeeq could have saved us all the hand-wringing if he'd just USED HIS BAT!! As soon as the batsmen doesn't play he's virtually begging the umpire to give him out.

It's easier to blame Hafeez's captaincy that to admit that the WHOLE team may not be any good...Like you say, I can't see how Hafeez can affect the individual batsmen and their decision making, and the umpires decision making.

One thing I will blame Hafeez (and Younus) for is that once you have settled in a little bit you should be looking for ways to score, even if the score is 2/20 or 30. He let Mathews and Herath keep him quiet, need to find ways of working a single to get off strike. But then again at least he lasted a while unlike most of the others.

It's a little bit ironic because Sri Lanka got handy 20-30 run partnerships when one of the batsman scored virtually nothing. So on the one hand, you could say the individual contributions were more valuable than at first glance, but on the other it is greatly multiplied by the big scores. If one of the batsmen is scoring, then the rest can crab around and cling to the crease. If not, then nothing good happens. You're only a few consecutive maidens away from a wicket.

Well,pakistan can defend till day 5.everyone knew as soon as we were 48\5.that we are going to get out before 100.but we scored 100 thankfully.younis khan was setteled with mohammad ayub.they should have scored at least fifties.then slowly proceed to hundred.but we dont have the ability to stay on the wicket .

Thank you Lanka that you declared and lessened our margin of defeat I'll be very surprised if Pakistan could drag it to the last session of 4th Day.

And all those guys who are blaming Hafeez for failures,just see our recent scorecards in Misbah's captaincy.We made 99 in the 3rd test First innings vs England and England when play in Asia,aren't much better than SL.So 1 extra run in Hafeez's captaincy .It's senseless to say that Hafeez is the culprit for our batting failure

paki007,just think when pakistan got out for 99 they went on to win that match.but at hafeez's time no bowling no batting.it is not senseless.it is a very strong point.

Guyz why you are comparing between captains as we see different captains but the result is same . So why not coach ? I think that captain is not the problem right now. The problem is politics in our cricket board .I'll keep blaming David Whatmore.

But if we compare between captains [Misbah and Hafeez] so that is Misbah can handle pressure and can give us a captain innings but Hafeez cannot ,so this means that Misbah is better captain then Hafeez .Well we can look Sri Lanka they also have the same problem ,Politcs in Sri Lanka cricket board,the change of captain but they settled with Mahela and still the former captains are scoring 100 like Dilshan and Sangakkara but look at Younis Khan's face . No tension at all but this time Azhar also and even Asad.

For some reason you seem to be getting on each others nerves. I keep getting reports of this and that and God knows what else. Give each other a bit of breathing space....try and be a bit more tolerant of each other and stop reporting every darn thing.......if you are not personally affected by something let it go or just report it without telling staff what to do.....staff will make their own minds up if they feel someone has gone too far.
