Pakistan vs England Jul-Aug-Sep 2010

It isn't a collapse. Its some pure good bowling and some poor running. England is still having upper hand and will remain until Pakistan chase their target. Gul bowl brilliant today and now we have to wrap up this tail as early as we can.

England just need to get 50 runs more and they have won it, Pakistan don't have any batsman except Butt and Umar.

Thankfully we're getting out now.

We had enough runs ages ago. Looking forward to us bowling at them before the night.

Why is Prior taking so long to get to his century? Get to your century and get 'em in for 12/14 overs tonight, which gives us 2 bites of the cherry against the openers. This is painful cricket watching Prior get a single, then stand at the non-strikers end watching Finn block.

Thank fearsome tweak for that. Was a painful period of cricket from Prior and Finn. If they knew they'd be called in as soon as Prior reached 3 figures, why did they take so much time out of the game? Could have had 20 overs at them tonight.

Hate it when people slag off captains for their decisions, suppose your more qualified than Strauss:mad:

This is a cricket forum where we analyze and criticize players performances.

Strauss is an overly negative captain, even when the ball was swinging madly in the 1st innings he had 4 men on the leg side, 2 saving boundaries.

Not sure why your panties are in a bunch, I realize you might have a man-crush on Strauss but if you can't handle criticism of him then this is not the place for you.

I wouldn't say he is overly negative, more pessimistic. Thing is, although it may not apply on a pitch like this, in the modern era, I don't think a lead of 200 (the follow on) is actually big enough. Batsman are scoring more runs than ever before, pitches last longer than ever before, yet it hasn't resulted in that rule changing.

If we had gotten them out and had the chance to follow on, but didn't, I don't see it as a bad thing, especially with the time left in the game. Batting last is an unknown in many aspects, but why give your opponents a sniff? Being ruthless is what made the Aussies the best side of the 90s and early 2000's. You can be ruthless and cautious.

Good stuff by England in the second half off today. Prior, Swann and Broad took whatever chance Pakistan had and shot it to pieces. Impressed with Prior today, albeit his getting to the ton was slow, I think we could allow him to do it and enable him a well deserved 3rd Test ton. It's not like this batting line up will have any chance anyway.

It just Pakistan's bowling through which they can put this much otherwise....:facepalm
Early Congratulations to English fans on first test victory this year against Pakistan.

Somehow I am expecting that Yousuf or/and Younis Khan will be called back into the Test squad.

Even the bowlers are scoring more runs then the Pakistani batsmen nowadays.
