Patch #2 Must Fixes

Minor things to add:
# Fielders (both AI and human) sometime scramble when the ball is in the air or passes near them. They also drop catches for this sometimes.
# AI always runs very fast when batting and always run out when taking close singles they should get out on 2's and 3's too. Running them out is rather difficult or really easy as somtimes fielders passese the ball to each other.
#I was never given out when the ball hit the glove etc and keeper caught it.
# maybe I shouldn't report this:spy but hitting an advancing six to a pacer almost on every ball even with tail enders is very easy.

suggestion for patch 2

Just a minor addition to your 4 non-negotiable areas:

Please provide a shortcut button for simulation while batting and standing at the non-striker end. Hate to wait for one complete over if A1 plays out a maiden. And then in not giving strike back to A1, I get out!

So everytime say I press Y/B on my xbox joystick, I get strike via quick simulation. This will enable us to focus more on our batting plus save time (like I get to play for max 30 mins because of my working hours). And really, I do not enjoy A1 batting anyway :-p.

Plus, anything that help us in our batting is always welcome. Maybe some indication (on pitch) for length before the ball is bowled and not when the bowler releases the ball.

Thanks

not to be a douche... but why on the pitch? why not just put the red/green/yellow circle round the ball in the bowler's last few strides? you still get the info you want, when you want, but you're still watching the ball which is the whole point of batting, rather than watching the pitch?

I don't think anything needs to change regarding presentation, though perhaps the practice nets hub with the timing could be available in pro mode so you and the bowlers are getting equal help.

I'm an old bloke and my reactions aren't what they were but I really can't see what the problem is regarding determining whether to play back or forward to a quick bowler. I know you don't get a lot of time to decide, but it's perfectly possible, especially for you youngsters. :)

Yeah, there was an issue with session breaks not giving stamina back to players. We have this fixed for patch 2. As well as various other stamina fixes overall giving much more realistic results.

This is a great news, Thank you a TON! Patch2 looks so much promising with many realistic features.:thumbs

You serious mate? Common we aren't askinge for bullet time effect just a little help. Many of us have small led screens.

Question: is there any way to tease batsman as a bowler just like as a batsman we can do?

Many of us have small led screens.

Sit closer. ;) I can turn my 42" TV into a 52" just by moving closer to it.:yes
Yes, I'm serious 'mate'. It's meant to be hard. They are bowling at 80-90 mph.
I prepare myself to move the LS backwards for the short ball, but if the marker is green or amber I can quickly move it forward. So, I'm premeditating for the short ball but I can quickly get on the front foot. I do the opposite for a medium paced bowler.

i agree... and the "early length indicator" i mentioned would be optional, and is the only further batting assistance necessary. maybe some sort of feedback mechanism, but otherwise they shouldn't change anything else batting related one iota.

i know i have said "grow a pair" before, which is a bit antagonistic, but really people do need to tough it out. i have had some horrendous runs in career mode, but you just need to accept you get that and that it's a new game and a new control system and we've had the game a month. we should absolutely love that it's hard. i can tell that i am getting better... i am pre-meditating less and picking up line and length quicker and scoring in more areas.

i would say to people to keep at it and you will notice improvements.

thought you will be playing hudless as a purist:p

Also i wouldnt mind the assist appearing a bit earlier if its integrated as a part of skill like batters eye, so that depending on the build and skill level the player will be able to spot balls, or even further depending on his skill level against the bowling type he will spot balls earlier.
for example raina spotting a doosra earlier but not a short ball etc. this will open whole new level pf gameplay.
And also add individuality to the game giving different experience for different batsman, also making different builds of career player play differently than exactly the same way, and improves replayability.

This will also help players greatly in career so they will become better as they play and keep them more hooked and interested instead of giving up.

My point was that you can judge 1 thing okay for example short or good length but what if in this narrow window you mistimed the shot maybe because of hesitation or you were also thinking about that should I play it to leg or off oh wait maybe its a slow ball. See how many things to consider and why are there higher difficulties for ? this is a game many ppl are new to cricket game. I left playing ODI's coz I never won one on pro difficulty as I keep loosing wickets (I always simulate my bowling to get a better total from AI) wheres the fun in ODI then if you can't play 50 overs no matter defensive or aggressive I'm stuck to t20 which is fun but I personally don't like this format.

I was, but playing in the beta nets was nothing like batting in the game. BigAnt must have changed something between one and the other.
