no wonder

Don Bradman Cricket 14 "the game Mike Fegan didn't want you to have" - he made claims to Cricket Australia that we were infringing their rights and asked that they take action against us. Nice guy, "never disparaged anyone" lmao.

i wouldn't be surprised if AC13 release the half bakes cake 3 months from now or ever. they were rather busy hiring lawyers then hiring some young talented folks who has the real interest of the video game and cricket.

Has mr fegan got any legal standing with his infringement??

With disappearance of other crew completely, I would believe its other way round. Really I felt so unprofessional like cry baby from Fegan after reading this. Looks like they took a wrong turn!

The following suggestion may sound utterly ridiculous but im just a little curious if Ross has/will/would ever consider it, and what PC members want their commentary to be.

As sports games become more realistic, one of the things that is often lambasted most is the commentary.
I often wonder if we "need" real world commentators. Bill Lawry is one of the more animated excitable commentators in world cricket yet when he appeared in a relatively recent cricket game (cant remember off the top of my head which one) it was embarrassing. Total lack of anything that makes Bill, "Bill"..

Ive often wondered why sports games dont use voice actors.
For example Big Ant could create a fictional set of commentators set to a fictional network the broadcast style of gameplay the game uses.
Using voice actors could get the level of excitement, animation, emotion that sports requires, not to mention possibly greater access for multiple recording sessions and (maybe) a more modest budget.
If well written, these fictional characters could become an important asset, that could cross-over to other sports games the studio creates and become synonymous with the "brand". I'd like to see what other PC members like to get out of a games commentary. Is it important? Is it just Background noise? Is my suggestion as ridiculous as it seems as i proof read it?

definitely like the idea. from what i heard of the commentary from the videos the other day, this would have been a better approach for DBC.

Ross i wanted to ask you if we start our carrer with a player specialist in bowling will u able to ball your overs if u simulate our bowling innings ??

Please answer my question ross or the ppl who attended the playsessions

In career mode you can't simulate when it's your turn to bat/bowl.

I have been playing Top Spin 4 for a while now and it does not have commentary. The ambient sounds, an excellent career mode and a really really solid AI along with great animations make it a game with a long shelf life. On the other hand EA Sports Grand Slam Tennis 2 has commentary and shiny ESPN presentation which hardly grabs your attention beyond the first couple of games you play. It has poor AI and a shelflife of not more than a week.

If DBC can go the Top Spin way, I would`nt be too worried with the commentary. I`ve wondered when people talk of sports games, Top Spin 4 is really underrated. I`ve been playing it for 3 years now and still find it gripping. For one, a 5-setter in the game really feels like one. That is something I`ve dreamt of in a cricket game, with a 5-setter being analogous to Test Cricket.

Thats what if we are a spin bowler we will ball atleast after 10 overs so if we similate will we get to ball or the whole innings will get simulated??

it's simulated until it's your turn to bowl - i.e. when the captain wants your player to bowl. you cannot simulate when your player has to bowl. the rest is simulated

Regarding "get best", I understand that it's been said only linked teams will be considered. Does that mean where the we've linked using the team link feature, or just that we have linked all the players in the roster through the player link feature?

Because i linked all the players individually, so never did the team linking - would my teams qualify for "get best"?

Ross, a quick question...

What is the default difficulty level for ranked online matches? In Madden the difficulty level is 'All Pro' which is one level down from the hardest difficulty level (All Madden). You can choose to play an online game on a different difficulty level than the default (All Pro) but it wouldn't count as a ranked game. Do you have a similar mechanism for DBC14 online?

Can anyone shed some light on how to duplicate 'your' created players on cricket academy?

I am creating my local club team & I have created a really good likeness of my dad but also want to duplicate him as I look like him and all I would have to do is take the age and wrinkles off haha?? Any help?.

Not sure if there's an easy way but - share it, slightly alter the original, download the shared one and then unshare it?

I remember reading early on in the piece that batsman can walk should they choose to do so. This isnt reflected in the controls. Is this still an option.
