I've just played the Pro Evolution demo. It's absolute crap.

The installation took ages, and in game the awful menu music hit me. I had to turn it down. The same arcade feel hit me as soon as I opened the game, and in game I was not changed.

I played Italy against Sweden and the faces were fantastic. You could easily tell who they were. The cut scenes were good, but felt utterly Japanese. I want to feel like I'm playing at Carrow Road, not a local park in Tokyo.

In play, the defenders were clumsy- three of them all jogged in a line after me- how many times do you see that on a football pitch! The goalkeepers new animations were very good and I never scored one goal that built up in exactly the same way as another- and I scored plenty of them too!

The crowd weren't exactly supportive, just chanting in a foreign language and roaring when I went near goal (what's all that about?!).

All in all, it hasn't changed much from Pro Evolution 4 and if it has it has changed for the worse. It's off my christmas list now, I don't want my parents wasting their money.

This game was clearly built for the Playstation 2 and their controls are listed on the PC version isntead of keys- now that's just schoolboy.

I would rate this game 5/10.

And I can't believe he's judging the game on menu music as well. Stop being superficial and appreciate the football instead. Playing on the lowest difficulty is bound to have stupid AI becuase it helps rookies bed into the game, obvioulsy if your winning 12 nil then you should be playing higher up, but oh no, anything to make this game appealing to you is going to be ignored. :

I'm not judging the game on the menu music. I just mentioned that it was awful.

I've tried the game and it's exactly what I expected.

'Fanboy'. That word strikes again. I prefer FIFA because it's simply the better game. It is all about opinion, Pro Evolution just doesn't feel like football and that's all there is to it from me.

I'm calling you a fanboy because you play PES6 once on the lowest difficulty and that's enough for you to judge this game. I played FIFA for about a month before I give it my judgement, not 5 minutes. You play PES6 on a higher difficulty then I won't call you a fanboy.

Just played on 'Top Player' and won 3-1, Germany vs Russia. It was so easy to tell the differences between the two teams. Slick, fast paced football. That's how Germany play.

It is like EA Cricket and Brian Lara Cricket, some will like one, and others will like the other.

I understand it is the same with Fifa and Pro Evo, others should realise that too. Ok, I may get Pro Evo 6, what new features are there from Pro Evo 4?

The pace is a lot slower and realistic in PES 6, which wasn't there in PES 4. PES 4 was fast and furious.

Passing and shooting is a lot harder and realistic.
