What an amazing day!
I thought NZ were very unlucky with some of the refereeing decisions but overall I thought France played exactly the right way to take the ABs down.
Still can't quite believe that both Aus and NZ have gone out today and fingers crossed for Scotland and Fiji tomorrow

You could say that about the ref but ill admit New Zealand where over confident as australia where today, our injuries did not help us either but thats just rugby for you.

I would say South Africa are the pole favorites but you never know

The ref definitely played a part but NZ really should have put the French away. They had numerous chances and their attack looked lethal but they couldn't convert those breaks to points.

yes that is true but just running at the defence and trying for the try every time hurt new zealand

they tried that through the whole game, although they where sucessful with two tries, it was also time wasting

Glad there gettin rifd of that aussie coach but they really should have got rid of him before the world cup.

drew mitchell was the cups leading try scorer an had looked awesome all tournament and the idiot coach leaves him off till about 15mins left to play.
His 1st touch an he looked dangerous just didnt have enough time.
Instead they played cooper who did nothing except give away penalties and drop high balls.He shopuld have been taken off 25mins into the game after his 2nd mistake and the fact he had barely touched the ball.

Poorly coached our backline is where we are dangerous but it didnt get used at all.

Well done england completely outplayed us the forwards dominated.

I had no idea what was going on last night when I was watching. I don't know the rules and had no idea why they were getting penalties.

haha no one ever knows who will get the penalties when theres scrums even commentators and players.
The ref just has to pull a penalty from no where to stop them from having to reset the scrum all the time and get on with the game.

Oh an just saw highlights of nz game on the news.
Wow no wonder NZ fans are upset with refs and that match winning try for the french that pass was 2metres forward.

If he actually concentrated on what he was doing rather than trying to have a fight with Sheridan he might've actually got somewhere.

In the end he cottoned on to what the Aussies were doing, then when he stopped them they couldn't live with our pack anyway. If only Mr Rolland refereed the 2003 final we would've won by more. So much for the Australian pack being better than four years ago!

I think that is quite possibly the most emotion/passion I've released after a game in any sport involving England, even more than the 2005 Ashes test at Edgbaston. Just such a special feeling, being written off by everyone, so many Aussies saying they would smash us. Felt so much better than actually winning the thing in 2003.

As Jazz says, South Africa are now favourites, I wouldn't say big favourites because they will probably (not that probably means much this year!!) play Argentina who have been very impressive.

Who thinks England will beat France? I reckon we might just do it and then anything can happen in a final. If we somehow win this, it'll be the strangest victory of all time in any sport!

My dreams of a Scotland England final are pretty much gone now but even so the Scots would never have been the Saffas whilst the Argies seem to have something about them this year which suggests they could do it. England probably won't beat France unless our forwards perform just as well, Johnny kicks better and we don't get anymore injurys

Wait the Scots are still in it, thats the great thing about this world cup, you can't write anyone off

SA must have been worried Fiji could have taken the lead late in the game. 2 late tries made the result a blow out which didn't reflect the game. Hopefully the IRB gives more support to the PI as they could build.
