Rugby Union World Cup 2007

The Australian forwards are just downright pathetic. They can not hold a scrum together, they don't go into the rucks and they don't retain/turnover the ball for us.

4 years to work on it, let's hope there is some good talent coming in. Shame that the legendary Dean Sherr is only the next great outside centre, rather than a prop.

I think it's Saturday night, around 7pm/8pm? Check your local guide to be sure!
What do you think will happen (heart vs head)?
My heart says England and my head says.....ENGLAND!!! COME ON ENGLAND!

Can't see the English taking out the French. Unlike the Wallabies they have a good forward pack so as long as the French team play to their potential they should win it.

Other one it's hard to go past SA.

my head says France, we've gotten way too confident after beating an Australian side who have some fantastic players but their front row was so poor we probably should have beaten them by more points. Am i being too harsh? I'd still love us too win, Brian Ashtons already done better than Clive Woodward did at his 1st world cup, an in less time to pepare I think i'm right in saying. I'm not saying he's going to be as good as him but it actually looks like we've got a coach who can make us successful.

England 14-9 France

England have qualified for the World Cup final, against all the odds. They are one match away from defending the title they won in 2003, which in my opinion would be an even greater achievement.

However, from the way they played in the group stages I would grab 2nd place with glee.

I don't take particular interest, but any team beating France in their own backyard is worthy of my interest.

Have that you dirty surrender monkeys.

We showed the grit and determination our football team so lack. We were down and out after South Africa, written off as no hopers. But they have done this country so proud.

Paul Sackey's block was the turning point against Australia, Joe Worlsey's ankle tap was the turning point in this one. Jonny found his form at just the right moment (what a drop kick!), and the whole team again contributed to a wonderful victory.

I would rather face Argentina in the final, but I just can't help thinking that if we face South Africa it might be just meant to be, after getting thrashed in the group stages.

Like Pakistan did versus England in the 1992 Cricket World Cup, you mean?

Well, would you believe it? We're in the Final again (I wonder what the odds were on that happening after the 36-0 v SA, some lucky git is celebrating tonight!)

I don't care who we get, we owe both of our potential opponents one!

COME ON, ENGLAND!!!! :happy

True...

What a result! What a match! At Wembley, our football team get off on a mediocre victory against a side ranked 529th in the world whereas, en France, we put in a great performance and we're through to the finals!!
