South Africa in Australia Dec 2008-Jan 2009

I truly believe that this can be the tour in which South Africa attain the status of best Test team.

Well Hayden might have retired by then or he might play the 09 ashes but I think thats unlikely so maybe Katich will still be their.

Yeah for the first time im relatively optimistic for a close-fought contest between Sa and Aus over there. A lot will depend on our current series in the UK, if we can finish this series on a high and our top six continue their form (suppose Kallis will get some runs along the line) then our chances over in Aus looks good. Long way off still but gonna be a crackerjack of a series i know it! Most anticipated series for us in years

It'd be nice if the WACA pitch was actually like the ones way back.

The one against India would have been, had Graeme Wood not ordered the grass be shaved more so that the match would last longer.
That pitch was a lot better than people gave it credit for; the game really didn't need to be any shorter. This year's wicket is expected to have more bounce, though.

go aussies

whats do u think the lineup will be for tests and OD?

Test
Hayden
Jaques
Ponting
Clarke
Hussey
Symonds
Haddin
Casson/McGain
Lee
Clark
Johnson (Selectors lover boy)

ODI
Hayden
Watson
Ponting
Clarke
Symonds
Hussey
Haddin
Tait/Hauritz
Lee
Bracken
Johnson

We will know more on the ODI side after the Champions trophy, they might try a spinner as they need to do it sometime before the next World Cup. If that's the case I hope Tait goes in for Johnson if he makes a good comeback as he too is hit and miss but when he hits it can be 8/10

I really think SA have a chance to beat Australia this time round (but I thought that last time :p)

If SA can win in England, that'll give them a huge boost and I believe they are the best test team at the moment (though it is close with Aus/Ind/SA/Eng).

Let's see what happens! :D

Just hope we dont turn up to Aus full of hope and with a team who actually have the potential to beat them, only to have a panic attack in the first test and get killed off like sheep....im so tired of that man.

Kallis : 'Australia probably at their most vulnerable'
Becase SA will be touring next to Aus soom, but according to me,Aus will be very difficult to beat at home,SA have beaten only once in recent past, while India have beaten Aus for 9 times, also if India wins the series,Aus will definately pounce and come hard on SA at their own den.

No doubt Aus will win at home,no chance of loosing at home...

I feel SA will be thumped. Australia will go back after a very tough Indian tour (if they win the series from now, SA can just forget abt even drawing a game!). Even if Aus lose to India, they will be better and more determined because they have played their 'toughest tour'.

I predict a thrashing for SA

A team which gets trashed by Poms in ODIs wanna challenge Aussies and that too at home. :p
