I like our plan to beat the Aussies though, send over a load of our kids, get the Aussies to train them into great cricketers and bring them back over here to play for England I want to see us bowl now. I'm not too disheartened, I am confident we can get three, four or maybe even five wickets before the end of play tonight. Pattinson will bowl a consistent, nagging, off-stump line. Though, I have to say, if we continue to play Fred as part of a 5 man attack, we have to replace Ambrose. Davies, Prior or Batty (has come close to selection over the winter). We need a keeper who can bat, and who is in form. I was impressed by Davies.

I didn't think the Saffers bowled all that amazingly. They were good, but we were playing out in front of the body so much. KP looked excellent after lunch.

Of course, most of it will be on the Magic Andrew Flintoff, and with conditions like they are, he WILL be a handfull, but for Pattison, he has to prove that he can keep that spot over Sidebottom (Which is a big ask)

I can't see Pattison holding onto the spot when Sidebottom is fit, but eh, WICKETS are what we need, and if he gets them, I won't be moaning at all!

Pitch was doing something for the SA Quickies, its overcast, however, the Sun is starting to come out now, Pattinson has had one do something huge of the surface, so We are positive yes.
