South Africa in England

Opinions are great.

For Instance i rated Geraint Jones and still do as the 2nd Best Keeper in England.

Opinions divide people.

Love you too Skater

Lol, thanks very much. ;)

I also liked Jones, but Foster would be my choice (nothing to do with me an Essex fan).

McKenzie gone great Ball from Anderson.

Foster is undoubtedly the best man for the England job and even though hes skill with the bat is not as good as others as a keeper alone he is one of the best in the last decade.

Ugh, we had this discussion 3 years ago. Flintoff's bowling average was 40 after 36 Tests. Clearly, he did something very right in the next 31 Tests.

I do not understand why hes this English hero.

Simon Jones, Trescothick and Strauss were all as important in the Ashes win.

They dont have particularly big characters.

We've got this game in the bag. KP will come on last few overs and rip out 5 wickets then score 300. I think ambrose should open with vaughan as they've showed the class we have at the top. I'd like to see Flintoff keep to his own bowling aswell cause its not fair on ambrose.

If all else fails remember that we can refuse to come back out after tea tomorrow or do a rain dance.

In the bag.

Time for Flintoff to step up here his pace and bounce vs Amla will be interesting.

This is where England Lack Harmison or Jones though in the Pace and Bounce category.

Yeah i just think that its a bit unfair on S.Jones that because Flintoff got pissed and fell off Pedalo's pissed hes hailed as a bigger Hero.

England could create problems here and could start a mini collapse i cant see Amla lasting long.

Is it me or is Broad a bit of a waste of time.

I mean 6 foot 6 inches and is a gentle medium fast bowler.

He should be 90mph+.

And i know pace is not everything (McGrath is the prime example) but Broad does not get that much bounce, Seam,Swing or anything.

I just feel at 6 foot 6 Inches he should be a Harmison type.

That is nothing to do with it. He is a legend for what he did. Without him England would not have beaten the convicts 3 years ago.

He has plenty of time to get stronger and quicker, hes only young.

His fingers are underneath the ball, but the umpire wont give it out.

that looked like vaughan took the catch to me fingers looked underneat tyhe ball, unlike the blatent attemp to cheat earlyer from south africa

Botham has just made a good point, the bowler was happy, catcher was happy, both unpires were happy it was caught, the batsman walked off happy it had been caught, and it only changed when the SA coach ran out and started shouting, is it legal that the coach can alter the match like that!!!!

In fairness, benefit of the doubt quite rightly went to the batsman in that case as the video replays prooved inconclusive. The thing is though as Karl has already pointed out; why did we need it when the catcher, bowler, batsman and umpires were happy? But nevertheless, the right outcome has eventually been reached.

Great to see this level of fighting spirit from England though although I think our momentum has been somewhat diluted by that Amla decision.

Vaughan's catch was not as blatantly obvious that it was dropped as de Villiers'. In fact, I believe Vaughan's catch was only given not out as it was inconclusive.

Vaughan is a cheat.
Like De Villiers it was clear is was grounded.

De Villiers knew he hadn't caught it and still claimed the catch. Vaughan claimed the catch because it looked very convincingly like it was a catch. I know which one of the two I consider to be more cheating than the other.

Exactly. Perfect example of the 'Benefit of the doubt' law.
