Actually, in comparison with the ever maligned one, it does create some perspective.

NZ have Ian O'Brien, Mick Mason and Mark Gillespie, Sri Lanka have Maharoof, Pakistan can't get rid of Mohammad Sami (and can't deal with the naughty kids), India have a range of pets like RP Singh and the West Indies have their whole attack. They're rarely completely useless players, but the worst bowler in the team is often a lot less useful than the best. Pretty much every team in world cricket can potentially improve their bowling attack before their next Test match.

Disgrace when any batsman who scores a Test Match hundred gets booed the moment he hits that final run that gets him to three figures.

I think its fair to say that the crowd at Headingley has been disgusting and disappointing. They dint applaud any of the South African milestones in the game.

Whilst only picking up the 1 wicket, Freddie has bowled really well. He's kept the pressure on but to be fair Broad and Pattinson sort of let it off (I'm only going on stats and watching an hour or so yesterday and looking at the pitch maps )

Doesn't really matter who is better (or worse), but I consider Pattinson a currently better Test bowler. Not disputing that he was an awful selection, just reiterating the fact that Broad was a similarly poor selection, due to pretty useless bowling performances, as I have repeated throughout his Test career and the number emphatically back me up. 18 wickets at 50.66 with a strike rate of 95.3 is awful, no?

Been an admirable performance from Jimmy. Finally repaying my occasionally blind faith in him by showing himself as joint spearhead of the attack along with Fredward.
