South Africa in England

Collingwood deserves this knock, but i'm still not sure.

In hindsight, we could have done with Broad here.

Thats the thing! I'd have given the gloves to Strauss :p Nah, but obviously its always well to say "In hindsight," but it doesnt work like that.

Simon why do you think Strauss should wear the gloves? Just because he used to be marked down as a wicket keeper in the ICC games doesn't mean he actually was a decent standard of gloveman in the past.

I'm so happy with Ambrose and Collingwood. You lot have done nothing but slag them off all series long and there they are, saving our bacon. Ambrose's knock is not to be overestimated; fair enough, it was a pretty sedate knock, but he occupied the crease and stayed unbeaten when he could have easily caved in after the two wickets that fell in quick succession before him.

As for Collingwood, well that is honestly one of the best innings i've ever seen. Given how horribly out of form he was and that his England career rided on this innings it was nothing short of sensational. Now can some of you lot please get off his back?

And if Broad had been playing in this Test match then rest assured, the deficit would be a lot more than 83.

I've not once spoken out of terms about Ambrose. And, i was being glib about Strauss wearing the gloves.

My comment of "You lot have done nothign but slag them off" was more of a general comment, it wasn't aimed purely at you. My mistake about the Strauss comment, it's just that i've seen you suggest that idea a few times and I could only assume you though he was actually a part time wicket keeper. Apologies.

If Tresco had been around, i'd have been serious about it. Strauss is too good of a slip'er to give it up.

Yes I am just going to make this point that I don't care that Collingwood has scored a ton because even Aussis bowler Gillespie has scored a ton.All that means to me is a timing.Trust me,it was not a pleasant time when Colly came to bat and specially with his poor form.I don't care if someone scoring 200 to draw the test match but this has been absolutely incredible innings.
Also Great work from Ambrose.Every run is crucial for us and it is hard to find even a single when you know that your wicket could turn the match result.
Just Hats off to Colly.
If these two will get us lead of 300+ then it won't be hard for Sidebottom and Anderson.
Yes I am not mentioning Flintoff because it looks insane that you ask to perform single man every time who has came in test cricket after 18 months.

In my opinion, Colly isn't off the hook just yet! He needs a few more knocks yet to convince me. And i don't means 4 centuries in a row, but 30+ in the next few innings.

Trust me the innings which he has played is the best innings from an Englishman I have seen after last Ashes.

Not really, KP's had a few good knocks. So had Strauss, Vaughan...Ambrose had a good knock!

So no, not really.

Oh Really?
Where the hell have I been when England was playing than?

I am on count,Could you please remind me some of the knocks?

Pietersen 226 vs West Indies, 2007
Strauss 177 vs New Zealand, 2008

Look at the opposition.

Collingwood was more out of form than i've ever seen him before. It was amazing how he could even hit the ball out of the ring.
