South Africa tour of India 2019/20

My prediction is that we will not make it past the semis In the World T20 and I have my doubts about that as well. It seems as though this all rounder experiment will continue. I am also predicting the ruining of BK the bowler. Hardik Pandya is proof of why match time is important. Thing is, BK is a mentally sound bloke so that might be of some help. Looks like the two wristies are also done. And I think Iyer at 5 and Pant at 4 is just class!!

Do you think that maybe the IPL has hindered the national team to some extent? Bit of an over reliance on foreign talent to do the big hitting? So, when that responsibility falls on the homegrown talent at international level they aren't as consistent as they could be.

That was perfectly put. Cannot agree more. We have got some much dependent on the foreign talent, we just want to push it to the other end and make records.

No. The IPL has done Indian cricket just favours. All the bad out of it (ignorance of the grind and value of test cricket) is man or management made. Our issue is the current selectors that prioritise experimentation over stability and obviously I know that it stems from the chairman of the board who also happens to be the captain of the team.

Rohit Sharma couldn’t even handle swing on an overcast night in a T20 at Chinnaswamy stadium out of all places from a mediocre pacer like Hendricks.

This is the bloke that is supposed to be the test opener now. :lol

Now this seemed to be a hyper-reaction. I don't think that they are that poor in other words they aren't retards to just move on from their best bowling combination in the middle overs for them to someone extremely inexperienced or not as skilled as them.

As far as the post match show was concerned during the mid-innings break VVS Laxman mentioned that Rohit Sharma, Dhawan and Kohli were rather trying to force the scoring rate and in that process they got out. In my view, Rohit Sharma had the clue that the ball was going to swing but he decided to take the risk anyway by playing away from his body. And I think Hendricks bowled very well yesterday.

I think you have received your response in this regard. Please do reply. If you know what I mean! :D

Sounds like classic Rohit really ... isnt that what he always does when faced with tough conditions

Exactly what he does. It is stupid to even think about sending him open in Tests. For all reasons India would badly miss him in all 3 formats once he starts doing it even for 3 series.

And I think some people out here have the habit of flaming a reaction out of someone or unnecessarily make out a wrong meaning of the posts which they read for no reason and then make themselves look like they are innocent. Anyways coming back to the Test Series going by what the selectors are saying this can be a probable line-up for India

Rohit :bat:
Mayank :bat:
Pujara :bat:
Virat Kohli :bat::c:
Rahane :bat:
Vihari :ar:
Pant :wkb:
Jadeja :ar:
Kuldeep :bwl:
Ishant :bwl:
Shami :bwl:

For me I would want to play this line-up till the New Zealand tour or even after that

Shubman Gill :bat:
Mayank :bat:
Pujara :bat:
Virat Kohli :bat::c:
Rahane :bat:
Vihari :ar:
Pant :wkb:
Jadeja :ar:
Ashwin :ar:
Ishant :bwl:
Shami :bwl:
