South Africa vs Zimbabwe & Pakistan, October-November 2010/11

I am wondering now whether the match will go ahead or not. Pakistan doesn't have a reserve wicketkeeper in their squad.

I am reading now he received murder threats. Umar Akmal will be the wicketkeeper. Personally I think there should be a seperate thread for this.

Well Shahzaib Hasan's Cricinfo page has him as wicketkeeper for his fielding position. I'm not really familiar with Pakistan cricket. He he ever kept wicket?

Start a separate thread if you think it's necessary.

Umar Akmal will be keeping, I recall that he kept briefly in one of the matches against Australia...I think...

This is not the greatest news. Pakistan just changed a winning team. Three players are coming into the side: Umar Akmal, Shahzaib Hasan and Mohammad Yousuf. Haider will be replaced by Umar Akmal, but who will be replaced by the other two batsmen? I am guessing Imran Farhat and Asad Shafiq.

He kept in the last ODI series in England, for about 30 overs when Kamran got injured.

Amla is one very cool and talented batsman. I hope he gets another ODI ton here today.

Amla did his work yet again, sad that he couldn't score a century but Kallis is looking damn solid ATM.

317 on the board; South Africa may well have this easily. In Pakistan's favour they actually bat down to 8 today, but they'll be looking for a bowler who can bowl as filthy as Shoaib, who conceded 77 from 7 overs. He tended to pitch short, even when he dropped full length balls, he was trying to bowl yorkers.

South Africa eventually won the final ODI. Nevertheless, this was a great ODI series.

The 1st Test is already after four days from now.

This series has been interesting ans really well fought qith great team spirit vut the wicket keeper haider thing just spoils the thing :( they(icc) should really do something of pcb.

Btw congrats South Africa

Good series win for us. Was good win yesterday but things could have easily gone wrong if pakistan batted their whole 50 overs with us not picking a specialist death bowler. Still don't get this leaving out theron/parnell.

Very good to see jp continue his good form. Batting looks set for the wc, just the bowling that still worries me.

How many Akmal's are there?! Hopefully he doesn't have the poor keeping gene.
