South African Tour of India 2010

Why can't we have more matches at Eden Gardens?? Flip the rotation policy if you really wanna test cricket to survive. Even on T.V with volume cranked up, you can feel the atmosphere.

This!

Only these should be the test match centres of India where all test cricket should be played

1. Eden Gardens, Kolkata
2. Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai
3. MAC stadium, Chennai
4. Chinnaswamy stadium, Bangalore
5. Ferozhshah Kotla, Delhi
6. PCA stadium, Mohali
7. Bradbourne stadium, Mumbai
8. Rajiv Gandhi stadium, Hyderabad

All at major cities where the crowds are expected to come in big numbers. We have 8 venues which are enough for a rotation policy to happen and also preserve the crowds for test cricket. Test cricket will never die in India if this happens.

HAAH!!!! just finished celebrating. :p

excellent performance by india going in with only 3 frontline bowlers.:hpraise:hpraise

awesome innings by amla as well.:clap

Bowling out whole SAF team with just 3 bowlers and missing our main and key bowler was amazing. This proves India deserves no. 1 Rankings

And we did it on a fifth day wicket that was perfectly playable. But had the rain not robbed us of 50 odd overs yesterday, we could have finished this far earlier and not gone through the heart pounding moments that were painful for the Indian fan. I was just screaming when Amla defended every other ball.

Sehwag is also a reason why we won this match. While he batted, our run rate was 5+ runs per over and it gave us lot of runs and lot of time to bowl SA out (inspite of rain interruptions). He also deserves huge credit.

and we also can't forget that we were without WALL.

Great effort from hash and the tailenders too bad the middle order didn't produce when it was needed. Still 1-1 is more than decent result in india. Can't wait for the end of year series in SA.

Keep test cricket away from Mohali. The new Hyderabad stadium has never hosted a test as well.

Otherwise, this test showed how it is to be done. An absolutely fine pitch which was far from a road providind something for everyone and we ended up with a fine test match. Test Cricket in India + regular test venues + good opposition = Awesome!!:banana2

Just watching the highlights after I got back home (had my engineering degree convocation at uni today and missed the game). The atmosphere in the stadium was unlike any test match venue. Awesome test match and will silence the "Test cricket is dead in India" nonsense for sometime.

you forgot something which is very obvious, irritating and critical to the game.
FLAT TRACKS.

Test Cricket in India + Regular Test Venues + Sporting Tracks / Turners + Good Opposition = AWESOMENESS!

Mohali has the one of the best pitches India have and crowds are present in large amount atleast many more than Nagpur so can't understand any reason of not including in it.
