South African Tour of India 2010

Well played RSA. I eat my words.

1. Indian is just poor against quality fast bowling. Steyn :hpraise
2. Bhajji and Mishra should retire if they cannot take wickets on the pitch which was turning square on first day
3. India will soon be back to pre 2000 days in test cricket
4. Why is Ishant still in team is out of my understanding
5. Kallis and Amla showed how to play in India to Indian batsman
6. KKD will be smiling somewhere but he is still crap :p
7. Sachin needed to score those runs in 1 st innings. Still well played.
8. Sehwag plays like that so he cannot be blamed as that is the way he has been sucessfull

You guys are damn harsh. Even we lost by an innings to England, and we also accepted that we were outplayed, but didn't degrade our own team to such a point.

Fatal Shot added 7 Minutes and 2 Seconds later...

Quote from Cricinfo

"Sehwag's jibe about the Bangladesh bowlers a month ago could come back to haunt India because they never looked like dismissing South Africa once, forget twice."

Ouch... now that's a burn.

If you look at current make up of RSA, then apart from Kallis no one will miss test match for next 5 years. Whereas India will fall back after Dravid and Tendulkar retire, Laxman is not that important.

And even best of Indian supporters are up in arms against our bowlers for long. If these bowlers continue then we will soon loose to Bangladesh as well.

I completely agree with you.

In my opinion

Gambhir : Failed in this but might just be a morning alarm for next test much
Sehwag : Played his natural innings
Tendulkar : Brilliant Batting In Second Innings Firs Innings Probably Steyn Was Better
Badrinath : Well played first innings but not second, Might not perform under pressure
Dhoni : First innings unlucky second innings BULLSH*T. He had to play some strokes which could yield some runs an if that would have happend then lower contribution might have just given us at least 100 run lead.
Saha : First innings not his mistake, Steyn in spell of life, Second innings well played gentlemen
Singh - Epic Fail
Mishra - Unlucky But sore loser in the end
Zak - Please learn something from Proteas
Ishant - No Comments Epic Fail since 2007 debut against Bangladesh

I think Sree will take his place and Raina might take place of Saha.

But in my view Wasim Jaffer should have been called up. He is best form and best suited for this format

i think irfan pathan could fit into the role of an all-rounder...
so we can go with 4 specialist bowlers and irfan...basically replace failraj / saha etc..

also, hes had a good domestic season and is regularly taking wickets and scoring runs..

I would put boucher in the same category. They will probably go at about the same time as well. For bouch there are guys coming through but there is a lack of batting allrounders so replacing kallis will be hard. JP and Prince better shape up as well else there are youngsters who will be pushing hard. The rest of the side is fairly settled for the future.

But what about Wasim Jaffer Guys 1000+ runs in last 2 seasons in ranji.

If for time being we can let him open with sehwag

Gambhir at 3 tendulkar at 4
Vijay at 5 Dhoni at 6 and Badri at 7

What say?

That is what I`ve been saying since yesterday. There is a tendency among Indian fans to overreact after a win or a loss. Its our first loss in 15 games. Yes, we`ve got to rethink our strategies and team selection but degrading the side so much is pathetic. Pity that some of the so-called `fans` feel proud in mocking their own team.

What is Ishant doing in side is beyond me. The guy Mithun is miles better than him. Even Irfan will not be so poor and can even make runs to compensate for his leaked runs.

I will even not mind seeing Dadaji play instead of Ishant.

Seiously, give these guys a break. Vijay has played 3 test matches, Badri and Saha were playing their first. I`m sure they`ll grow into good test batsmen in the next few years. Gambhir was`nt a regular in the Indian side till about 2 seasons back and look at what an integral part he is now.

:p

I wonder why comments from me and JK are only targeted when India looses while we are always posting like this.

Did I handpick your post.:p I just said that it is the general tendency among Indian fans to react like this to every win/loss.

Saha :laugh He has played his last test match for India already. Badrinath is past his best by long way. He was not picked when he was in form due to congested Indian middle order and will miss out for 15 or so more months.

Vijay is good batsman but like Rohit Sharma I think he needs to sort his head out. I will not put a single penny on these guys making runs in England, RSA or Australia.
