Legendary, awesome is all that I can say. Liking Xavi even more after that interview.

Barca drew 1-1 with Sporting Gijon. Didn't exactly watch the entire match but either side could have won it at the end. Nice goal by Villa though.

Nonetheless, Real Madrid have a chance to close the gap to 5 points although playing away at Espanyol won't be easy for them.

Sporting were fantastic. Defended excellently for 90 minutes, and what a goal on the counter. Just beaten by something amazing by Villa.

Five points it is then. On the backfoot after Casillas' red card but Adan did well and the team responded well especially in the first half.

Adebayor missed a million chances but he seems to be finding gaps well which is a good sign ahead of the CL games. Although he must convert his chances!

Marcelo was epic today. In attack and defence both!:thumbs

Adebayor did everything right except the finish. Got in good positions, linked up well, just needs to find that clinical edge.

That was never a red card btw.

I think he got the wrong end of the stick with that interview. He clearly advocates his own style, and will only play that style, but that doesn't mean he doesn't respect other cultures. From when he was describing Carragher etc he made it clear that he respected them as players, but didn't agree with the style. Can't really fault him there.

Interesting read.

"Mourinho has been fortunate to have taken charge of four strong sides packed full of high-quality international players and, in the case of Chelsea, Inter and Real,"

Looking at that Porto side now, it's easy to say oh they had Deco, Carvalho etc but what we have to remember is, is that these were just your run of the mill players before Mourinho took over. He made them brilliant.

TBH there were many , which two were you referring to ??

Don't take that literally. :p

The whole article is informative although it depends on how many things in there you have read elsewhere before. :)

By the way, thanks in a way for quoting that line. Just realized that there is a mistake there. :lol

Most people tend to overlook the fact even though a team has good players, it still need a good manager to utilize and maximize the players' capabilities.

They just assume that if a team has good players, then it will prosper regardless of who is the manager.

Well done Jose Mourinho . That 2-0 victory over Levante marks the birth of the 10th year of his unbeaten home games record . Truly legendary :clap

That is indeed legendary. Under him Real Madrid have a 100% home record in all competitions this season.

I thought we did well last night, with five changes to the starting eleven (Adebayor, Ozil, Alonso, Pepe and Casillas not starting). Alonso not playing was the biggest factor and after 90 minutes I am still not convinced we can manage without him. He has actually been poor in a few games this season, but he still represents the engine of the side that powers the midfield. Lass is a pure DM who tries to be like Alonso but fails miserably while Khedira looks to attack more.

Man of the match for me was Angel Di Maria. And I am not just saying it for his role in the first goal. Certainly his best performance for us in a long time. Had kind of gone flat after a good start to the season.
