Too much funny but a 6 month ban is a bit too much.

Benzema's form has been promising. Besides scoring that crucial away goal at Lyon, he has now netted a brace in each of our last three league games - a feat that only Messi and Ronaldo have achieved.

The crucial test for him ofcourse will be the return leg against Lyon this Wednesday. The players were clearly distracted by this game last night, hence the performance wasn't as good as one would expect, but still the victory was comfortable.

Good to see Sergio Ramos not pick up a yellow card for a change:thumbs

So, back to 5 points after Barcelona's draw against Sevilla. And I checked Real Madrid's remaining 5 away games and all of them are pretty tough with trips to Atletico Madrid, Atheltic Bilbao, Valencia, Sevilla and Villarreal.

Sevilla were fantastic. Not only defended resolutely but also really tested Barca in attack.

How long is Pedro out for? Would be a huge blow to Barca. Pivotal in the way they play, offering width on the left hand side, and is a brilliant player in his own right.

Eric Abidal will miss the rest of the season, and undergo surgery on friday after a tumour was found in his liver. Let's hope he has a speedy recovery. He's easily been the best left back in the world this season.

Wish him a speedy recovery. He has been a surprise this season, from a weak link in the Barca defence to their most consistent player. He has played more in the center though, stepping in for the injured Puyol. Maxwell/Adriano have played on the left.

By liking , i meant the respect i had for him . He once ridiculed by saying he was trying to propose a move that would enable FA cup , other domestic cup winners to play in the champions league !

I don't see anything wrong with that. It adds a little bit more spice in those cup competitions.

The main problem with that is if one of the lesser teams win the Carling Cup or FA Cup, goes into CL qualifier and gets knockout, it will affect the coefficient of the English teams in the CL.

In the long run, England will probably only left with 3 CL spots and I think Platini will be more than happy to see that happening.

Good to see Iraola in the Spain squad but I don't understand why Del Bosque has been picking only three proper CBs since Puyol's injury. There are four full backs - Iraola, Arbeloa, Capdevila, Ramos and he has selected Monreal in the previous games.

Also disappointed not to see Borja Valero in there despite being one of the best midfielders in La Liga presently. Javi Martinez is the future though. But then why not bring in the likes of Mikel San Jose or Alvaro Dominguez at the back?
