Nearly a scare there for the Spain U21 team. Nice move for the equalizer and the second goal and a good goal from Jeffren.

Great cross indeed. Thiago's ingenuity for the second...why are Barca even bothering going after Cesc when they've got this kid coming through?

Campeones!! Campeones!!

Didac Vila's cross for the first goal was epic.

Indeed. It was an exquisite cross. Great goal from Thiago for the second one. Was completely surprised when the ball went into the back of the net.

Well ha Cesc is more established still to be fair.

Yeah, but why pay so much for him when Barcelona is already well covered in that area and is having financial concerns? I don't think Arsenal will let him go for less than 45mil and that's all that Barca have to spend on transfers unless they sell some players.

Thiago's performances have been very inconsistent to be honest. Ofcourse he is still very young, but I do feel he lacks Xavi's composure. However if Arsenal want anything more than 30 million for Fabregas, it would be a wise decision for Barcelona to stick with Thiago.

The first one might be preponed/postponed because of Barca's participation in the Club World Cup.

We have got a cracking opening day fixture. Athletic are an ever improving squad and have strengthened even more in the summer by signing Ander Herrera and also managed to hang on to Fernando Llorente, Iker Munain and Javi Martinez.

But Nov-Dec and April are going to be crucial months for us since we play Valencia, Atleti, Barca and Sevilla in the span of one month.

Real and Barca will be meeting in the Super Copa on the 14th and 17th of August.

Just 100% found out that Bielsa has took over Athletic Bilbao. :lol

Surprise that none of the better known sites reported that.

Yeah he rejected Sevilla and Inter Milan before taking up this job. Bilbao are stronger than last season having acquired Ander Herrera and look set to retain Llorente. They have a good squad, balance of youth and experience and now under the management of Bielsa, I'll say a top four finish is very much possible.

Santiago Cazorla moves to Malaga. Very good signing for Malaga, but he won't play in the CL.
