God, that was some Clasico!

Sarcasm lol? I missed it myself, just couldn't be bothered with the league basically done, but damn man, another loss for Barcelona. That's 3 big games they've lost in a row now...

Was a decent match actually, but Barca and referees. :facepalm

They need to get a striker who can score goals or start more of Villa, but his game today wouldn't have have helped him with opportunities really.

What Barcelona need to do is buy a goalscorer who's natural position is out wide, like a Cristiano Ronaldo or a (I really can't think of anyone else atm :p), because this whole let's buy strikers and then push them out wide shtick is not working.

A Neymar? :p

with hindsight you could probably say they should have pushed for Hazard, or maybe even try to make chelsea part with mata (highly unlikely without a fabergas-esque campaign to slowly unsettle him)

That isn't going to happen I think, considering that Mata is an ex-Real player and still has a bit of respect for the club.

Neymar would suit their style a lot, him and a finisher like Falcao can make Barca powerful. The only problem is, that would negate the role and importance of Messi.

How about the manager being away? No one's really brought that up and I know everyone was saying "Barca doesn't need a manager" when they were on that great run early in the season, but it's times like these when even the best of players look to their manager for advice and things of that nature.

Yeah, I remember that, and well, Roura was a scout at Barca during Pep's reign, so that may have a bit of an effect, but still, Tito is just not on the pitch, he still gives off the orders from New York.

Maybe Barca could have persuaded Pep to come out of his sabbatical and take the reigns on a temporary basis.

Too late now, Bayern wouldn't want him at Barcelona, he could fearsome tweak up Bayern's CL campaign this season. :p

A Neymar? :p

Guillem Balague has already repeatedly said on 'Revista de la Liga' that Neymar is going to Barcelona and everything is already in place for that move. It's just a matter of whether he moves before or after the World Cup in Brazil (i.e. this summer or next).

Hope he does it now, a season of European football before the World Cup could do wonders for his talent, although it could have a detrimental effect on his fitness.

Santos would be clever enough to sell him now for 60-80M, than seeing him go on a free post the World Cup.

There was talk of a new contract for Neymar, and if he does want to stay till the WC, I imagine that he'll sign that bumper contract that Santos would give, after all those guys aren't fools to let Neymar on a free.
