And Will, while your comparisions are amusing, it still does not mention who you think is better between Gerrard and Rooney.

I am pretty sure we would not be discussing this had Phil not mentioned the diving comment. Maybe I should have just compared Santi with Ballack or Montolivo, but no, I had to choose Gerrard. And now we have even Eboue being mentioned here.

I thought we were debating who was the best in the world and I clearly said Messi. Comparisons between Gerrard and Rooney are irrelevant.

It is my view yes but the way I see it was basically an unnecesarry response to your ridiculous statement. I have since changed my view because I do feel Ronaldo is better than Gerrard, but is a far worse diving "prick".

Can't believe how many people believe the myth that St. Steve of Gerrard doesn't dive. Here's one example, when he got the penalty against Athletico Madrid (although with your "hate:" for Athletico Madrid you probably will say it was a penalty).
