Sid you must be really happy with the way former Manchester United man is playing for your Madrid. Heard he has scored 4 in 3 games.

He has not played very well though. Against Espanyol, his goal was basically because of an insane ball from Guti, and his two freekicks last night, albeit good, was because of the some horrible goalkeeping. The second one was just embarassing.

But I am happy with the results and the fact that Guti has scored 2 in 2.

I'm still torn over whether I want him to do well. His class is undeniable but he's so unlikeable, it's not funny.

Shan, from what Ive heard ESS backed out because of the price of broadcasting La Liga this year is extremely high (especially for the Madrid-Barca games). And apparently Ten Sports and Zee are currently trying to bag the deal now. If they dont get it, you could be without La Liga for the entire season. Here in the UAE, La Liga coverage on Al Jazeera is exceptional.

Will, I agree. Although I still say he is better than Rooney, but his attitude does stink at times. Most of his interviews since joining us has been on the lines of "I will prove I am worth 94 million euros","Madrid have not seen what I am capable of,"I will deliver", and so on. On the other hand Kaka has always been talking about the team as a whole.

Thats sad news for all football fans in India. I really wanted to see Ronaldo and Kaka in action vs Messi. Anyways looks like no La Liga this season, hopefully Ten Sports would telecast their Champions League matches.

And yeah Rooney is always better than Ronaldo.

Both Madrid and Barca off to good starts with 5 wins out of 5. Kaka's goal was class yesterday and Drenthe seems to be doing a good job at left back.

One cannot deny that he is massively talented but the criticism was aimed more at the deal. To really prove he is worth it he has to in effect score twice what Eto'o scored last season.

It is not the same with Ronaldo and us, because while we were filling a gap in our squad, while they were only making a replacement.

In effect, Zlatan and Ronaldo nearly cost the same amount of money.

Real Madrid well and truly stuffed by Sevilla :)

I am actually surprised we made it this long unbeaten. Sevilla are a good side and were the better team on the night. 2-1 was a flattering scoreline for us.

Still early days and Barca are very close to a defeat themselves based on recent performances.

The good thing ofcourse is someone is going down to dumps, and I hope they rot their forever.

I find it ironic how the media from up until Madrid's loss to Sevilla is all praise, yet after their defeat they were heavily criticised.

The pressures of being the most celebrated club in the world maybe.

Anyways Spain finish their qualifying campaign with a 100% record then. Always been good in qualifying even before Euro 2008, so the real test is in June-July ofcourse.

I didn't expect to put five against Bosnia though. They are second in the group and have some good players. Having said that I must say I wouldn't have expected them to be the closest rival when the groups were drawn. Turkey and Belgium choked it big time, the former especially after doing so well in Euro 2008.

Still a good few months before the WC, but really cant wait for it. Spain and Brazil would be a cracking final, and have the strongest squads, but how often do the top two sides end up meeting in the final, and how often does Germany or Italy not be there despite playing sad football.
