Who will win the La Liga this season?

I genuinely think that Madrid have been winging it this season. Defensively they look as fragile and shambolic as ever, but they don't have the same attacking potency they had under Pellegrini. They're neither here nor there.

Barca on the other hand, are going 2nil up without even trying. Can not see Barca not win the league. It just seems impossible.

Agree with the attacking potency issue there but it is a Mourinho's team after all. Also, it is really surprising and perhaps shocking to certain extent that they are conceding way too many goals which is very unlike a Mourinho's team. His teams are usually pretty solid at the back especially during his time in England.

To be fair, I think Mourinho has done a better job in keeping the defense tight than Pellegrini. Keep in mind, we are talking about Real (the team which has always had an issue with defense).I think given time, he can genuinely make the backline of Real stronger.

Definitely Real need a left-back, and a back-up right back.

Arbeloa's a good enough back-up, on either flank.

Still not completely convinced about Marcelo, although he's been one of Madrid's better players this season. There's a dearth of quality full-backs around these days but someone like Coentr?o would be perfect IMO.

Mourinho's first priority is a forward though. Coentrao would be a great signing though. Wouldn't mind seeing him at Utd tbh, with evra having an awful season and a long term replacement for giggs needed. One of the few players I think would be viable for utd.

Arbeloa is a good guy, but still Real Madrid need one more left-back. They have only Marcelo and Arbeloa. How about Capdevilla? He will be joining my team in Football Manager 2011.:D

Chelsea too could need someone like Coentrao to replace Ashley Cole. :p

According to Spanish press Coentrao is a done deal for Real and will be moving in the summer. Marcelo has done well this season but his defensive issues still exist and we need somone who is genuinely solid.

Disappointing performace last night, but as always the important thing is to get the three points. Mou tinkered with his side a little bit to ensure the likes of Xabi, Ozil and Khedira were fresher for the semi-final clash against Sevilla on Wednesday, but had to bring on the first two after the inability of Gago to do anything in midfield.

It was good to see Benzema score, but he was still pretty poor overall, missing several chances before and after the goal. I am particularly happy for Granero who setup the goal, as he has working really hard in the limited opportunities he gets.

Sevilla are in top form, so its going to be tough game no doubt. Also I've read that if Real and Barca qualify for the final, they'll meet each other twice in the span of four days, and if we meet in the CL QFs or SFs, we'll play each other 4 times in the span of 15 days.

Wouldn't that be amazing? :lol

That happened in my FM11 game, but twice triumphed over Barca and left them red faced.:D

Granero has looked very good when he's played. The centre mids have been very disappointing for madrid this season. Khedira very underwhelming, Diarra doesn't offer much more than a destroyer and Gago hasn't really played much.

Evra has not been sparkling coming back from a horrible world cup, but its a bit over the top to call his season awful my friend.
