ICC have changed the rules so that players from associate countries will now have to be released for the following:

World Cup (Senior+Under 19s)
ICC Champions Trophy
Twenty20 World Championship
ODIs against a full member
World Cup qualifying events
Smart move by the ICC.

Netherlands scoring 250 odd in both thier innings isnt that bad. Apart from Sri Lankas score in the first match, hopefully that means they will be competitive in the World Cup.

The lost by 52 odd runs with thier best player ten Does-whatever not playing. Not bad.

Dead right- you can only take out the positives in matches such as these, and that presence in the previous, and only, two fixtures can't be denied. A Dutch victory was never on the cards, so criticizing them and opposing their ODI status for losing fairly comfortably to a quality side in Sri Lanka is just mindless. They registered plenty of starts, so that's gotta count for something, and they may well be competitive in the upcoming WC. Just remember, England didn't do too much more...
