I definitely think South Africa will find it tougher to adjust to the Indian conditions than the Lankans! And with the series starting soon after the Lanka series, the Indians are bound to retain their touch! Lets hope for the best from India!

India will retain their touch and would definately be no pushovers for south africa.
It would be a keen contest now that South Africa too are in good nick.

The only person who now looks out of place in this squad is JP Yadav. Kaif has to replace him.

Kaif should replace Yuvraj who has been completely out of touch.
Yuvraj is a one-match wonder for India.I have never seen him dole India out of trouble apart from the U-19 victory in 2000 and the Natwest Final in 2002.
Kaif is a much better bat than Yuvraj and it seems as if Yuvraj can only play against weaker opposition and domestic teams.Look at Venugopal Rao.He's been in excellent nick since the Lanka tri-series.
JP Yadav needs to be given more chances .I'm sure that he'll improve .We have given Yuvraj plenty of chances .It's now time for him to step aside and make way for others.

There seems to be a lot of support for Yadav..

Anyways, I agree with Yuvraj. He doesnt seem to be a big player for India. He is suspect against the spinners which is so unusual for an Indian batsman! But he along with Kaif are two brilliant fielders for India! And Yuvraj has been in good form this season except for this on going series (he has two centuries even though against minnow teams!). But his century against West Indies was when India were in trouble!

Yuvraj is a talent, agreeded, and I can see him leading our middle order in the future. He isn't mature enough now. You can see Zaheer, Kaif, Ganguly-all finding form and improving when their place is threatened. The same should be done to Yuvraj. Keep him out of the team for atleast a year-give Raina, Rao, Dhoni and Yadav more opportunities, and then bring Yuvraj back in when he improves.

agarkar is definitely a good cricketer - one of the best.

LOL!?!?! Agarker one of the best??? People are entitled to their opinion but agarkar has been given way too many chances for little result. He's played 200 worthless matches. Okay, maybe he was good in the start of his carreer but we have better options now. Just look, we have Zaheer, Pathan, Balaji, Sreesanth, RP singh, VRV Singh, Nehra, Yadav....with all this talent why go for someone like ajit?? 1 5 wicket haul doesnt make him awesome. He's not consistent.....

I'd rather have him in my test team as the first change bowler. In test matches you need more experiance and stamina....and he can bat. So agarkar a Maybe for tests but a bog NO for ODI's.

Right now, he cant be moved from the ODI's. He hasnt bowled badly at all this series. He is right now the top wicket taker this seris with 8 wickets in 4 matches! He has fielded very well too this series with 2 superb run outs, some good catches, etc. I dont find any damn reason to drop him right now from the ODI's.

Atapattu chooses to field, Jayawardene is back and Tendulkar is rested.

Tendulkar,Harbhajan and Pathan rested to make way for Gambhir,Karthik and Rudra Pratap Singh.
These guys have been rested as India has already won the series. So,a little experimentation won't hurt at this stage.
Anyways, great start by India.Gambhir just smacked a six over deep square off Zoysa.Hoping for a big knock from the little fella.

Sehwag out: b zoysa. Damn, he was doing good. gone for 19. Typical sehwag.....either he hits, or he doesn't.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

damn it dhoni out 1st ball  crap.

Yuvraj at 4......well lets just hope dravid makes a big'n. i got a feeling that sri lanka are going to pull something special out of the hat today.

95/3 after 18 overs...Ghambir smashing like a mad man.

50 for Gambhir, around 90 odd runs partnership now between Dravid and Gambhir.

150/3 off 29.5 overs.
