The pitch has eased out and looks to be a good batting track but the spin is there for Murali! I think he is not being used well by Marvan Atapattu!

For me, Atapattu seems to lack imagination!

Ha Ha... I dont think so! Once Sehwag returns, he goes back down! But he can open well! He has great technique!

If Gambhir fails, we can think of dropping him and looking for other options! We have back up openers in Pathan and Dhoni! This is not on a long term move!

Poor Pathan he can never pass 100. He made 80 odd in ODIs but got out, now 90s in test and got out. But he truely is a all rounder after this performance. Just needs more times and you will see the 100s.

Ganguly should go on! Yuvraj should go on! A lead of 325+ would make it superb for India!

Wow! This is so so pleasing position to read for an Indian fan! But I sincerely hope that we dont collapse tomorrow morning and build on the lead. A lead of 330-350 will effectively put us in the winning position!

Good sensible batting by Saurav Ganguly! Is it only me or does anyone else see a sea of change in Ganguly, the cricketer? I see a lot of change. For one, he has become more responsible, more solid. He plays his shots only when absolutely needed! His fielding has improved by a good amount, etc. He now seems totally under the Chappell regimen!

I suppose thats why he keeps saying he isnt an allrounder... it'll probably be in the papers again tomorrow:

But to me, he is a genuine all rounder and comparisons to Kapil Dev cant be ignored!

Its time to drop Agarkar from Test cricket at least when India play in sub-continent. Khan or RP Singh should replace Agrkar for the final Test. Agarkar is a total misfit in this Test team. He has done a good job in ODI's and he remains only good for the shorter version of the game.

Ganguly is playing really well and he needs to make this innings count. He has done the hard work and should play out the early overs tomorrow, then we might see the attacking side of his batting as there will be a time when India will be looking for quick runs before declaration.

Pathan can still improve a lot in the bowling department... he is the next hero of Indian Cricket.

I think Kumble has a better chance of getting man of the match as he still has to bowl in the 4th innnings and the pitch favors him. If pathan can start off well and and take 2-3 quick wickets he stands a good chance of getting the award.

The pitch is not too bad to play on! Once you get settled, its terribly tough to get you out! The thing is, to get settled. But again, Kumble will make a bigger difference and thats why this target will put the Indians in a gr8 position!

I want to see Ganguly attack tomorrow and reach his 50! Would be a great thing for him if that happens! He has had a good test match so far!

absolutely right about Agarkar there ! I posted something similar y`day !
I hope we have Z.Khan back in the lineup next time. Even i they don`t pick Zaheer, why are they wsting the talent of RP Singh ! Agarkar has already played 7 years of Intl. cricket and has still not been able to establish himself in the test side . I dont think he will get any more talented .
He has been consistent in ODIs this season and Iam happy about that.
I guess we could thank him for the match winning 6 wicket haul at Adelaide and have him s one of those ODI specialists .

Pathan has the technique and a cool head to do well at this level .
He can be an allrounder of the Lance Klusener mode maybe (a floater in the batting order) .
