Been reading about the early World Cups recently and the performances of West Indians came up a bit. So I had a bit of a look, planning to select one of a couple of others this round, only to discover Brian Lara was still available. I feel like Ahmed picking up Shane Warne.

Was busy with exams, but here are my picks


My first pick here would be Saeed Ajmal, who can be regarded as a late bloomer with great tricks with a doosra that is impossible to read. Has a better bowling average than Muralitharan.

My second pick would be Wally Hammond, a perfect middle-order batsman, and a perfect leader which this team needs.
